Homewood
Oscar award-winning film "The Godfather Part II" was filmed on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. The mafia spent quite a bit of time in Lake Tahoe. The casinos in Reno and on the North Shore brought the mafia to the shores of Lake Tahoe. Anywhere there's money they would be there. Plus the lake is very deep. Ask Fredo

We were not rushed. There is a bit of rough terrain hiking, if you prefer. Guide (Chris) is a great Tahoe historian.

Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and explained all about the different areas around Lake Tahoe. He had audio made that gave us even more info. He was more than willing to take photos and being a professional photographer was a bonus. He tried to accommodate all the people in the tour.

Chris was very informative, friendly and knowledgeable. He took us the many sites that he normally does not go to, us we were the only participants that day.

Friends first time to Lake Tahoe. Chris was our guide and he provided rich information about the Lake and its history. Chris knows how to weave storytelling into the day and also uses audio to illustrate his points. It's very well done. We made about 10 stops-each unique. The drive around the lake including lunch was about 7 hours. Knowing where to stop, how to find parking, and the hidden treasure spots along the journey could only be realized with a guide with many years of experience in Tahoe. In addition, Chris is a professional photographer and is happy to take your photo along the journey.

Our family spent the day driving around Lake Tahoe with our tour guide Mark. Mark went out of his way to drive around Fallen Leaf Lake, even though this isn't an area he has taken tours to in the past (my wife wanted to see it since that's where her family used to go camping). We learned a lot about Tahoe history along the trip as well, which made the sightseeing more interesting. Thanks Mark for a fun day!
