If you are looking for a highly professional slick tour, this is not the tour for you. Based on the description, I thought it would be possible to do the tour with an overnight stay. Unfortunately, the tour company did not communicate in advance that this would be very difficult. The local contact worked with me to adjust things and I still had a wonderful time. But I would only recommend this tour if you have two nights in Lalibela. Things to know -- the inclusions and exclusions are not completely accurate. I discovered that the ticket to the Lalibela churches is not included. Add USD $50 USD to the cost of the trip. Also, the itinerary suggests that the trip is wheelchair accessible. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this trip for anyone with limited fitness or mobility. It involves climbing and many instances of uneven, slippery terrain. Keeping that all in mind, I had a great time and would recommend this to anyone with a small sense of adventure. My local guide to the churches was very attentive and knowledgable and the local agent worked very hard to make sure I felt welcome and comfortable during my stay.
