  Don’t bother with this tour , the guide didn’t turn up and we did this by ourselves which actually meant we got better value for money an we could spend as much time as we liked . It’s worth taking the cable car up .

  This tour is not worth the time or money. You are better off visiting the temple and Big Buddha on your own rather than being stuck with a group on a poorly planned itinerary. The advertised snacks and water were never provided, and lunch was not included; instead, we were expected to pay $80 for a basic meal at the temple’s cafeteria. Only book this tour if you want to avoid planning and don't mind following a group, but otherwise, it is better to go solo.

  Our tour guide Ben was good. However, I would not recommend this tour due to its poor itinerary. If you want to see the Big Buddha, you can just book round trip NP 360 cable car tickets and go see the Big Buddha yourself without this tour. The whole time at Tai O fishing village (including the boat cruise to see the dolphins) is just a waste of time. There was absolutely no dolphin; Ben didn’t go on the boat with us and the boat driver doesn’t speak English and smoked all the time; so there was no explanation or interaction at all during the whole boat cruise. There’s nothing much at the fishing village as well, and it’s not worth any time there. Excluding the lunch time at the temple, we had only 30 minutes to spend at the main monastery and the Big Buddha. That was not enough time considering the time to go up 268 steps to the Big Buddha. We wished that we could have 30 minutes less at the Tai O fishing village and 30 minutes more at the temple. At the end, we did not have any time at all at NP 360. We wished that we could have 30 minutes here and less time at Tai O fishing village. The bus ride in the tour going up to the temple is also not worth it and it’s a waste of time as well. It would be better if we could just go up and down with cable cars. I would not recommend this tour with Tai O village as part of the itinerary.

• Great overview of Lantau Island

  This is an action packed day and it provides a great overview of Lantau Island. Our group was on the large side and that led to a few more minor delays than would be optimal, but the guide was great. He kept us on schedule and provided really good insights into Hong Kong. The cable car ride at the end has some wonderful views on a pretty day.

  My tour guide, Grace, was extremely knowledgeable about the area. Not only that, but she also messaged me the day before to let me know exactly how to get to the pick-up point, she even included a video.   Our guide Grace very fun and professional! We joined boat trip at Tai O fishing village fantastic! Big Buddha was amazing! Vegetarian lunch good tasty ! Cable car recommend crystal cabin see full view of village! Highly recommended this tour
