  Thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Grace. We travelled on public transport and it felt very authentic. Grace was a breath of fresh air and kept us highly entertained all day. Great value. Would definitely recommend.

  Ben was a fantastic guide, and it turned out to be a great excursion. Please ensure you choose the correct options (the one I chose didn't include the boat ride in Tai O, nor lunch, so I paid in cash during the trip, $60hkd and $80hkd respectively). It was a long day, make sure to wear appropriate shoes! Especially if you intend to climb up the 268 steps to the Big Buddha. I recommend this tour if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

  I recently went on a tour to Lantau Island, including a visit to Tai O Village, the Big Buddha, and a thrilling cable car ride, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless and well-organized, and a huge part of that was due to our amazing tour guide, Grace. Grace was incredibly knowledgeable and shared interesting facts about the history, culture, and landmarks of Lantau Island, which made the entire tour even more enriching. She also had a wonderful sense of humor, keeping the whole group entertained throughout the day. Her communication was spot on — she made sure we were all clear on meeting points and times, and she was always approachable with any questions we had..   Great day out. Grace our host from Memory Tours was really good. Took us through Tai O fishing village for a boat ride with fantastic views then to the Big Budha and monastery and back to Tung Chuk on the cable car. Worth it for the £38 that I paid for the 6 hrs.   Grace was a wonderful tour guide. So helpful and kind the whole day. Her commentary on the whole trip kept us laughing and smiling the whole day. I would definitely go on another tour with her. Some tourists in other tour groups saw how much fun we were having with Grace and even came up to me and asked if they could join our group because Grace was the best guide around.

  Had a very nice time. Tour guide Grace was enthusiastic and very friendly. Would highly recommend it. I especially enjoyed walking up to see the Big Buddha!

  Grace, our guide was a positive, energetic person, and overall a fun person to be around. If I was able to choose grace for another tour, I would jump on that opportunity instantly. Thank you grace for the amazing time!

• You’re better off going to see Big Buddha on your own

  This was the strangest and worst tour I have ever been on. If you mainly want to see the Big Buddha, you should just go on your own and save a lot of time to go do other things. Firstly, our tour guide Grace talks extremely fast. She will repeat the itinerary many, MANY times. While I acknowledge that 30 people is a lot to manage, her energy came off as too much by the end of the tour. I could tell that most people in the tour were mentally checked out, hungry, and mainly just wanted to get to the Big Buddha. It’s also worth noting that this tour uses public buses!! It is NOT the type of tour that has a reserved bus. If another tour group gets on before you and the bus is full, you’ll have to wait for the next one. They don’t run super often either. A lot of time was spent waiting around because of this, and it had most of us thinking we should’ve gone on our own and saved a lot of time. The fishing village in my opinion is not worth going to; it feels very tourist-trappy, and when we got there, no history was really shared about the village. We were just told where to buy souvenirs. Also the snack is just a small dried fish. We stopped into a small cafe there to buy drinks and the worker tried to upcharge us for more than the listed price on the menu, thinking we wouldn’t notice as foreigners. I wish we had skipped this part of the tour honestly. When we got to the Big Buddha, we were given 45 minutes post-lunch to explore on our own. I could tell some people felt a bit rushed, especially those traveling with older individuals who can’t walk as quickly. This was unfortunate given the Big Buddha is the main reason people sign up for the tour. Instead of taking an entire day for this tour, I strongly encourage you to just go on your own to the Big Buddha, especially given that this tour also takes public transport.
