  We were picked up at our resort and taken to the reindeer farm. The trip took about 25 minutes and that was enough for us. The reindeer are walking, so of course it's not fast. It's a nice thing to have done. In the sleigh you're under a blanket. This was nice for the cold, but also because it snowed. After the trip we were allowed to feed the reindeer. Then we went inside to drink hot chocolate and got some explanation about the reindeer.

  It was a unique experience in a dreamlike setting. We were warmly welcomed. Hotel pickup worked great. After the reindeer safari we were spoiled with homemade cake and hot chocolate. At the same time, there was extensive information about the life of the Samis with their reindeer. Thank you for this unique experience.

  You can ride a leisurely sled for about an hour. I thought that was it, but I was able to learn about reindeer through a feeding experience, photo time, and a hot chocolate in a warm room. I think it's more meaningful than participating in Santa Claus Village.

  As the tour HIS offers was full, I plucked up the courage to experience the reindeer tour here, and as a result I am very satisfied. Rough Flow · They will pick you up at your hotel in Saariselkä. ・There are other similar participants, so we shared a ride to the Reindeer Ranch. · The travel time of the car should be less than 10 minutes. ・When you arrive at the place, change clothes first. · You can rent everything you need to experience the cold weather, the reindeer tour is asked many times because the instructors are worried because they go outside for a long time in the cold. ・After changing clothes, it's time for the reindeer tour. ・In groups of two, the students finally got on the sled pulled by the reindeer. · 30 minutes sledding tour with a view of the Finnish snowscape. ・When you are done, you will have to feed the reindeer. ・When you are done, it is time to change clothes and hot cocoa. · There is no additional charge to have these experiences, even though they are great.

  This was an amazing experience! They were incredibly well set up with loan outer jumpsuits, wool socks and boots to make sure we were very comfortable as it was -13 degrees! The reindeer herder was very knowledgeable and the animals looked to be very content and in healthy condition. We were seated one per sleigh and on a skin to keep warm and rug over our laps. We set off through the forest for well over 40 minutes with the reindeer taking their time. At one point the lead reindeer stopped to have a good dog at the ground as he’d smelt something delicious. He wasn’t hurried along but given a few minutes to enjoy before he chose to move on. After the ride we were able to feed them moss and then we were treated to a hot drink and cake while more of the animals was explained to us in a log cabin with crackling fire.   We were picked up from the hotel on time. On site we were provided with thermal clothing (incl. shoes). The guides were all very friendly. The locations have made a well-kept impression. The animals were also in perfect condition and without fear of humans. And every reindeer has a name and their own dishes. These are always important clues for me because I want the animals to have a really good time with the organizer I book and to be treated well. The ride in the sled was very nice! Not too long, not too short. Each sled is pulled by a reindeer. These are connected to each other "caravan-wise": one does not steer the carriage itself or is guided. Afterwards, we were allowed to feed our reindeer still treats and got hot drinks and cakes inside in the warm. I would recommend the provider and the tour and book again.
