In case you haven't heard of a cenote before, a cenote (pronounced seh-no-tay) is a natural sinkhole caused by the collapse of the surrounding limestone. Our tour of Tulum with Heber4Ever and Alma’s LDS Tours was absolutely perfect in every way! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. The early start time was ideal — we completely beat the crowds and had the site almost to ourselves. Not only that, but the weather was cooler and so much more comfortable, which made exploring Tulum even more enjoyable. It truly felt like a peaceful and personal experience. Heber is incredibly knowledgeable about the Mayan people, their history, and the Tulum site itself. He shared so many fascinating insights and brought the ruins to life in a meaningful way. We especially appreciated how he thoughtfully highlighted perspectives from an LDS viewpoint without ever assuming or speculating beyond what evidence supports. That balance made the experience both spiritually enriching and historically grounded. Beyond his knowledge, Heber was fun, personable, and engaging. He made everyone feel comfortable and created such a positive, uplifting atmosphere throughout the day. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does! As if Tulum wasn’t amazing enough, we also visited the most incredible cenote. Swimming through the maze of underground stalactites and stalagmites with a guide was unforgettable — such a unique and awe-inspiring experience! We topped it all off with an absolutely delicious lunch that was the perfect ending to a perfect day. This tour exceeded every expectation. If you’re considering Alma’s LDS Tours and Heber4Ever, don’t hesitate — it was truly a five-star experience all around!

I was amazed of the tour guide’s knowledge of the historical information and how it ties in with the Book of Mormon! The guides were very accommodating to all our concerns, questions, and needs! It was very educational and I look forward to studying more history relating to the Book of Mormon era. Restrooms were never a problem. Guides were friendly and personable!

Our tour guide Ricardo was great. He was very flexible with the tour and answering our questions. This tour is quite a bit more expensive than other tours of Ruins/Cenotes but we enjoyed our experience.

We had the best time on our tour of the Tulum Ruins with Alma's Tours and our fantastic tour guide, Ricardo! He picked us up at our resort in Cancun, and drove our family of 6 safely down to Tulum. It was about a 1.5 hour drive from Cancun to Tulum, so we brought coloring books for the kids and left all expensive and distracting screens behind. Ricardo gave us a wonderful and insightful tour, drawing parallels to The Book of Mormon. It was interesting and just the right amount of time to keep our 4 kids entertained. It was very hot, so we were sure to have sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. We were grateful for the water bottles Ricardo provided, and before the tour began, he was kind enough to let us take our time using the restroom and apply lots of sunscreen before the tour. He was so kind and patient with the kids, and let us stop to take pictures anytime. We then had lunch at the most amazing place right there at Tulum. We then drove to a cenote, where we spent a glorious hour swimming and jumping into the beautiful water. It was no problem bringing a change of clothes and using the restroom before and after the swim. I was thankful for the flexibility and amenities. Alma's Tours was one of the best things we did on our trip, worth every penny. It was our first time in Mexico, and because we had such a great time, we can't wait to go back one day and do more tours with Alma's Tours.

The information provided in this tour is mind blowing! Luis, our tour guide, was a pleasure to be around & we thoroughly enjoyed his company. It was really hot at the ruins, but I would do it again in a heartbeat! We learned so much & we are definitely planning on learning more on our own now. The lunch was fantastic especially the frozen lemonade. Highly recommend this tour!

We had such a wonderful experience we felt safe the entire time. I’m glad that we did the tour because we learned more than we could’ve learned walking through and trying to read it on Google. Lunch was amazing. Our guide made us feel like family. Thank you Jerman for being the best guide.
