I went on the the Red Route a few days ago, it was so good I booked the combo tour. The Beatle tour was so much more than I expected, interesting and very enjoyable. I had Brian again as driver for the Red Route and another great tour guide, Julie. I hope I get great ones tomorrow too! My only criticism would be that there are no charging stations on the buses.

This was an impromptu decision on a grey morning following a night of rain with a cold but brightening forecast. How pleased we are we opted to take this particular open top bus ride. In the capable driving hands of Bonnie and the outstanding guiding skills of Chris we could not have asked for a more enjoyable and enlightening 90 minute tour. We learnt much …. about the city (in many diverse aspects) and about its Merseybeat heritage, principally geared to the legacy of the Beatles. Punctuated with a handful of significant Lennon/McCartney ‘classics’ we were educated and handsomely entertained by both the music and Chris’s good humoured and locally passionate narrative which was perfectly delivered with excellent timing to include so much of interest. Bonnie stopped three times to allow everyone to get off the bus to see significant locations and we arrived back at the Albert Dock feeling we could do it all again. If, like us this morning, you are in two minds whether to take this tour, just do it. The commentary is live (not pre-recorded) and we cannot recommend it too highly. Many thanks to Chris and Bonnie.

Jimmy, our guide, was funny and informative throughout the tour. His encyclopaedic knowledge, accompanied by his Beatles impersonations was perfect. The liverpudlian McCartney comments were a hoot! Brian, our driver was equally at ease with his passengers, and made our tour safe and well paced. The rain didn't damped our host's enthusiasm, and we huddled together with great bonhomie when the rear half of the upper open deck became too wet to occupy. All in all a real highlight of our Liverpool trip!

We were on the 12.30 tour on Sunday 25 January 2026. What a fun experience! We loved singing along to the Beatles' classics as we toured historic landmarks in their lives. Thank you to our tour guide, Julie, for bringing it all to life, and to Joe, our driver, for safe smooth ride. I'd certainly recommend the tour as part of a Liverpool city break Full marks!

My wife and I very much enjoyed our bus tour with our driver Joe and our knowledgable guide Julie. Both were very friendly and on hand to help take everyone's photos at the iconic Penny Lane and Strawberry Field sites. It was interesting to find out some of Liverpool's history and to see the Beatles first homes and learn about their early lives and how they came to meet up. We can thoroughly recommend this tour.

Really interesting tour, made fun by our driver Joe & our knowledgeable guide Julie. Loved being able to stop & have our picture taken at Penny Lane & Strawberry fields and to see where the Beatles used to live. Was interesting to hear how they met and details of their early life. Enjoyed the sing along songs. Would definitely recommend as a must do while in Liverpool.
