4.00We all thought the Lucca experience was excellent and we would have preferred to stay there all day. The walk from the coach into Pisa was too long for one of us and that was the reason for giving a 4 and not a 5

5.00If travelling by ship check out Viator compared to cruise line. Our trip was a quarter of the cost of thr cruise offerings and could not be faulted. You can book viator with confidence. From Livorno Lucca is a wonderful alternative if you have already been to Florence.

5.00Easy to find meeting location, Cruise shuttle 7 euros for us, takes to the square. Irenia was an outstanding tour guide and very friendly, Lucca was absolutely stunning with great restaurants and shops. The green space was nice around the wall. Our only issue was the bus was very warm and we had to wait on a late group.

3.00The town of Luca was lovely, the trip to Piza was however too rushed. We only had 90 minutes. Our time for climbing the tower was for 10 minutes after we arrived. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the bus to the tower so we virtually had to run there after leaving the guide. We were 10 minutes late but luckily they let us in. Then we had to rush up and down the tower instead of savouring the experience and then rush back to the meeting point as the guide said she would leave without people who were late and indeed she left 2 behind. 2 hours is needed at Piza so you aren’t rushing. It was a good workout but spoilt with all the rushing in the heat
