What To Expect
A tour suitable for experienced mountain bike riders or beginners looking to improve their skill level, the Lizandro Trails will take you across a diversified landscape and a mixed terrain. Starting close to the coast, you'll be riding easy and fun trails with the ocean in sight as your warm up before we head into the first climb of the day. Our first climb will take you to about 200m above sea level, from where we will ride into the endless "Caminho dos Mortos" singletrack through the oak and pine forests. Reaching the end of the trail, we'll hit the cafe for a quick stop to recharge and head out to easy singletrack in the valley before our second climb to the "Medronho" trail. The "Medronho" trail is a fast and fun but challenging trail that will take you again to the bottom of valley. From here, possibilities are varied, and we will evaluate your preferences and the time remaining to make a decision on which route/trails to hit before we get back to the starting/finishing point.

5.00Work group. All levels. Perfect management of fears and ambitions. Beautiful trails. Lots of wildlife - deer, boar, a surprise bat. Picked our own pine nuts. Just excellent. Marco and Bruno were the perfect guides

5.00My ride, through the Sintra hills, with Ericeira bikes wasn't on the list provided above. Maybe that is only reserved for experts who request it, as it should be, because the technical prerequisites were substantial; fitness, but mainly bike handling on tough single track. If you're a true mountain biker who wants to hit some extra special territory, with a previous pro rider who can substantially up your game, this is the one to request (when you're in shape, of course). That being the case, it's absolutely first class! Punctual, professional, skilled, thoughtful and thorough. Easily the most fun I've had on a month-long adventure trip through Europe, which says a whole lot! Can't imagine a better company, guide, and equipment. I'll never forget this ride, as it's now at the top of my list! Hope you get the chance, but only with your best riding buddies, don't waste it on anyone who can't hang. Sucks to lose a good thing, this one is too precious to let go of. I certainly want to do it again...

5.00Amazing afternoon on the Lizandro trails. Marco and Bruno were super helpful and tailored the trip to our abilities and fitness levels. Stunning scenery and lots of super fun flowing single tracks - good for intermediate skills, and definitely “red” by UK standards, with some blue bits. The bikes were fantastic quality, high spec and even provided with UK brakes and pneumatic seat adjustment. Loved it, we’ll come back for more!

5.00We hired Mountainbikes from Bruno and all bikes were in excellent condition. He delivers the bikes to your accommodation and he also picks it up again. He was very friendly and we enjoyed the bikeride straight from our holiday accommodation. We will be back! Highly recommended!

5.00We had a great mountain bike tour with Marco, who explained us the basics as it was pretty much our first time on a Mountainbike. He always had an eye on us and adapted the route to our skill level. He is a great teacher and guide, very patient and encouraging. We always felt very safe with him! He also introduced us to the best place to get pão com chorizo and gave us some awesome tips for places to eat in the area. We highly recommend booking a tour with Marco!!

5.00Bruno and Marco at Ericeira Bike are amazing tour guides if you are looking to be outside, have fun & excitement, and learn about local history. The Lizandro trail has beautiful views and provides enough thrills for the experienced or inexperienced mountain bikers. Would definitely recommend!
