oin us for a walking Food Tour through one of Addis Ababa's neighborhoods where we will sample all kinds of Ethiopia's famous food! We will visit three restaurants, a juice house and coffee house sample vegetarian dishes, beef dishes and fresh fish. The tour starts at 4pm and ends around 8pm.

What To Expect

Addis Ababa

The tour starts in the Addis Ababa's Atlas neighborhood with a welcome drink or coffee. From there we set off on foot to a family owned restaurant serving our favorite vegetarian dishes in the country. As we walk through the neighborhoods, our guides will share lots of information about Addis Ababa and the history and culture of the country. Next we visit Addis Ababa's most famous meat house followed by a fish restaurant. We'll refuel with some coffee and have a fresh juice for dessert! At every stop we'll try beers from different parts of the country. The tour ends around 8pm.

My guide was preoccupied with himself and his business, on the phone or talking to others leaving me standing around waiting a lot. We even went to his bank, so unprofessional. Viator refuses to give a refund because we did 2/3 things, basically the guide sucked. So ask first and don’t use or refuse Simeon Tour Group, Awful.

Alex arranged a great tour. He was very responsive in all the logistics. It was really an honor to spend time and get to know some locals. We ate a lot of good food and had many informative conversations. I was a little apprehensive about security... not knowing what to expect... but I was happy to find that this was completely misplaced, Addis felt very safe for a developing nation city. I wish I had time to do more tourism in Ethiopia. But if you only have one day, make the most of it and learn a little about this unique city.

The food tour was one of my highlights of my stay in Ethiopia. The food was great, at authentic, off the beaten path restaurants that you won't find in a touristic guides. The driver and guides were professional. They were both very well informed about Addis and Ethiopia which also makes it a perfect way to learn and get ideas about what to do and see during your stay. I will definitely recommend to everyone who love to taste Ethiopian local dishes.

Me and my friend booked this tour with simien image to test the local foods. I was really amazed by Ethiopian food. It was tasty and as well as spicy. I enjoyed the whole day thanks to this company for arranging a very organized trip. I recommend to every tourist who want to taste local food.
