If you want a taste of authentic local culture, then jump into this day tour. Meet with your local companion to offer you a unique experience across the city, while passionately sharing our culinary treasures. Make sure to come with an empty stomach and get ready for a delicious adventure.
Our first stop will be at a small local place that only locals know how to find. Here we will have the chance to try Byrek, a classic Albanian specialty with spinach, or other ingredients. The journey then leads towards Çam bazaar.
With your local companion by your side, you will have an insight into the hidden alleyways and bustling street markets of Tirana.
The next stop of our local adventure takes us to the New Bazaar, where an array of culinary delights awaits us. We will sit down for a traditional Albanian meal prepared with regional specialties.
To wash it all down, we will also taste the famous Albanian Grape Raki. As we Albanians say, there is nothing that Raki can’t fix!

Tips are not a must in Albania or the Balkans, however, our recommendation is to tip the tour leader/driver as an international practice to tip good service

5.00We had a great food and culture tour with Hera. We saw lots of the city that we would have missed without her guidance. Tried lots of lovely local foods, some of which we have gone back for more! Extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city, we learned lots of fascinating things about the buildings and how much Tirana has changed over time Highly recommend!

5.00I was on a solo trip in Tirana, and could not recommend this tour enough. I traveled during the off season, so it ended up being a smaller group of 3-4. Our guide Markel was knowledgable, personable, and funny. We got to try some great local foods, and our guide pointed out some additional historical facts, as well as suggestions for more food places to try on our own. It was a nice afternoon, and great as a solo traveler to connect with others in a new city.

5.00Markel was an amazing guide! Very knowledgeable about the history of the country as well as the foods and also spoke perfect english. I loved visiting the local markets and trying so many new Albanian foods. I enjoyed every food we tried and there was a nice variety. The Raki at the end was in a very cute bar/coffee shop. I would absolutely recommend this tour with Markel. Great value for the money!

5.00I really enjoyed the local food and walking tour. Our guide Brikena took us to some wonderful local businesses that we never could have discovered on our own. She was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot on the tour. Highly recommend!

I believe that food is a window into a culture and with Brikena’s insight and personal stories of her grandmother and mothers cooking, this proved to be correct in Tirana. A really educational and tasty tour. Highly recommend.
