My expectations for this tour weren’t very high, but my wife wanted to do it. Good thing too- it was really amazing! We tried well over 20 different fruits as well as a variety of local snacks and drinks along the way. We’re not talking about bananas and pineapples here - we’re talking about tropical, unique fruit that you can’t get in most places. For most of these fruits, I didn’t even see them in the Colombian grocery stores! So much fun! David was an awesome guide - explaining not just the fruits and markets, but also the history of Colombia and Medellin. We felt very fortunate to do this…it was much more than just a market tour. Recommendation- do not eat before this tour!

Very caring and accommodating guide. We are an older couple and he made sure we were comfortable. Luis showed us a variety of interesting markets and areas of Medellin.

The fruit markets are definitely a wonderful morning treat! Our tour guide Luis showed us many vendors and many types of fruit and other wares. Go with plenty of room to eat, because trying as many new things as possible is the best part of the experience. Seeing all three markets also gives a great tour of the city and its history, our tour guide Luis knew how to tell the story of how things work now as well as their past.

Luis, our guide, was incredibly thoughtful, kind, and calm. The traffic was horrible yet Luis never lost his patience. The markets were extremely interesting and it was amazing to see the amounts of food that move from the largest markets to the smaller ones. We got to sample delicious fruits and fruit juices.

This was a super fun adventure. We tried lots of different types of fruit and all of the vendors were very friendly. Our tour guide knew what we should try and had great suggestions and stories for lots of different fruits.
