Drink•Eat•Walk small group evening food & drink neighborhood walking tours explore beyond tourist Washington in to the streets & places we DC locals hang out in, so you can experience the true flavor of the city.
This local neighborhood Washington DC food tour dives into two of our city's most beloved areas — Dupont Circle's streets are filled with stately embassies, charming row homes, and fabulous people; Adams Morgan is DC's most eclectic neighborhood, bursting with sights, smells, and flavors from around the world.
We stop for eats & drinks in six different places, learning about the communities and culture that built and sustain DC in each one. In between, we'll walk the streets in a way that gives you a true feel for each neighborhood.
This tour is all about having a great group experience & solo travelers are definitely welcome. We'll get to know each other as we eat, drink, & learn our way into the night in this great city we locals call home.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide Tim’s passion for the city he calls home was clearly evident as he shared DC history and beautiful architecture along the way. Each dining spot was carefully procured, timed perfectly, and an overall exceptional experience. We had the opportunity to dine at local family owned establishments with amazing food and drinks. They all took great care of us! The most impressive part was realizing through this tour how the threads of diversity are woven together to create the tapestry that makes our nation’s capital unique. I can’t wait to go back. I highly recommend this tour!

As a DC resident I LOVED our tour! Our guide Tim was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about DC’s neighborhoods and their stories. Instead of feeling like a typical tour, it felt more like exploring the city with a well-informed friend who knew all the hidden gems. The pacing was just right—plenty of time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. The food and drink selections were outstanding. Each stop offered something unique, showcasing local flavors and thoughtfully curated pairings. It was clear that a lot of care went into choosing places that truly represent the character of the area. What really stood out was how seamlessly the tour combined storytelling with the culinary experience. Learning about the history and culture of the neighborhood while sampling delicious bites and drinks made the entire experience immersive and memorable. Whether you a DC native or just passing through, you’re going to love this tour too!

I had a fantastic experience on the Drink Eat Walk DC tour last Thursday—easily a 5-star evening! The mix of great food, drinks, and local stories made for a fun and memorable way to explore the city. A standout was the delicious Anamoro cocktail made with Cihuatan Indigo Rum at El Tamarindo—absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and flavorful DC experience.

Simply the Best Food tour I’ve been on. I often go on food tours on many of my vacations .. This is by far, hands down, the best one ever ! I highly recommend Tim’s tour with no hesitation; this tour is truly a MUST ! Tim thoroughly explained and broke down Washington DC city from Washington to DC, which I never knew .. It is a given we visit the nations capitol to see museums and monuments . Why Eat,Drink and Walk ?? Tims wealth of knowledge and passion for his beloved city is so transparent; hearing the enriched variety of cultures and neighborhoods , pairing them with specialty cocktails , appetizers and dinner was beyond exceptional .. I so enjoyed hearing the over 100 years of history of the neighborhoods growing and developing to what they are today. . An added benefit was seeing the beauty of the rooftop night skyline to end a wonderful night .. I always will remember this tour because Tim had taken so many photos and he gave us all the recipes of the specialty cocktails. I was never really a Foodie … but now I may become one !!! Enjoy !! Thank you Tim, Mary and Larry

As a resident I wasn’t sure I would get much out of the tour. I was wrong! Such great historical information on some fantastic DC neighborhoods. Food was great, hospitality was great and enjoyed meeting local restaurant owners and learning their stories as well. DC residents will love the details of our city. Visitors will learn DC is much more than our monuments and museums. You won’t be disappointed.

We had such a good time on this food tour. Tim picked restaurants to match the history lessons and I’m so glad to have tried these foods that I normally wouldn’t have picked for myself. All the food and drinks were amazing and we learned so much about the culture and history of D.C. Tim is very considerate and plans everything down to the hand wipes. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the D.C. area.

Tim is a great tour guide. He is organized and plans the tour to every detail like wipes for your hands, jacket if it’s too cold. He asks for food preferences at each stop and taylors the food to go with the history lessons. The food and drinks were amazing and we learned so much. It was 4 hours but it went by so fast.

Tim’s tour was a treat!! He gave us a detailed history of the area. He introduced us to restaurants and neighborhoods we would have never discovered on our own. He paid close attention to detail and even brought along extra jackets to share if we got chilly. He is very passionate about what he does. Highly recommend spending an evening with him.

Tim from DrinkEatWalk gave our group one of the best experiences we had in DC. We were traveling with a pretty big group of 17 people, and he was kind enough to accommodate us even though his usual max is 12. From the start, he made everyone feel welcome and kept the tour engaging for the entire group. What really stood out was how informative the tour was without ever feeling like a lecture. Tim shared so much history about the neighborhoods we walked through, and it felt like we were experiencing parts of DC you wouldn’t normally see as a tourist. The stops had way more of a local vibe than the typical spots, which made the whole experience feel authentic and special. I also really appreciated the little things that showed how much he cares about the experience he’s creating. He brought water and even umbrellas for us, which was such a thoughtful touch and really shows the level of service he provides. You can also tell he genuinely loves what he does. His passion for the city, its history, and its culture really comes through in the way he tells stories and engages with the group. I left with a real appreciation for the history and the rich cultures of the communities we visited. Especially during such a crazy time in our country, it felt meaningful to hear the stories and context behind these neighborhoods and how they’ve evolved. And of course, the food and drinks were amazing. By the end of the tour we were definitely full, but more importantly, we were happy. Every single person in our group had a great time and walked away satisfied, even our CEO and his wife who used to live in Dupont Circle and were regulars at a couple of the places we visited! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Washington DC!!
