Drink•Eat•Walk small group evening food & drink neighborhood walking tours explore beyond tourist Washington in to the streets & places we DC locals hang out in, so you can experience the true flavor of the city.
This local neighborhood Washington DC food tour dives into two of our city's most beloved areas — Dupont Circle's streets are filled with stately embassies, charming row homes, and fabulous people; Adams Morgan is DC's most eclectic neighborhood, bursting with sights, smells, and flavors from around the world.
We stop for eats & drinks in six different places, learning about the communities and culture that built and sustain DC in each one. In between, we'll walk the streets in a way that gives you a true feel for each neighborhood.
This tour is all about having a great group experience & solo travelers are definitely welcome. We'll get to know each other as we eat, drink, & learn our way into the night in this great city we locals call home.

Having been on food tours all over the world, I can say that this one is truly unique and special. In addition to incredible food, Tim provides an interesting and informative history of the District of Columbia and its people. Unlike most of the other DC tours, this one takes you away from the mall to local neighborhoods and stories about our capital city's founding. It is a wonderful complement to and break from the typical Washington sightseeing of monuments and museums. Tim is passionate about DC, and it shows. He is a great storyteller, and he introduced us to delicious and unique food that was expertly woven into his tale of DC.

We had an incredible experience on this food tour and can’t recommend it enough. From the start, our host made us feel like we were longtime friends, not just guests. He went above and beyond, even spending time with us afterward, which made the experience feel truly personal. What stood out most was how he showed us the real side of DC—through its neighborhoods, its people, and its food. The tour introduced us to a unique mix of international cuisines that reflect the diversity of the area, which made it far more interesting than a typical “local food” tour. This was easily the best food tour we’ve ever been on.

My wife and I did the DC tour with Tim yesterday and had an amazing experience. We walked through a couple different neighborhoods of DC (Adam's Morgan and Dupont Circle) with us stopping at various points and learning about city's history, the different communities that live here and of course, it's diverse and delicious food. We stopped at 3 different restaurants and had a drink and a food item at each stop. Tim's recommendations were top notch and we enjoyed everything we ate and drank, and were definitely full by the end of the evening. At every restaurant, we got to learn about the origin stories of the food, the neighborhood and Tim brought everything to life with his thoughtful storytelling. There is quite a bit of walking on this tour (around 3 miles) and it lasted over 4 hours, but we enjoyed the ethnically diverse food - some seafood, some El Salvadorian and a big Ethiopian platter. The tour ended with us enjoying a delicious dessert at a rooftop overlooking the city. I would highly recommend this walking food tour with DrinkEatWalk. A great way to spend an evening with friends and family.

We decided to book Tim's tour instead of a typical dinner party for our daughter's graduation. We are so glad we did it! It was equally delicious and informative, while getting our steps in. Thank you, Tim, for a fun and memorable evening.

One thing is clear from the very start of this tour: Tim loves DC: he loves the people, the food, the history and the community. From the start at Hanks Oyster Bar in Dupont Circle to El Tamarindo, Elfegne, and Henry's Soul Cafe in Adams Morgan he shared interesting facts of how the communities of DC came together and how food was integral to each. If you love food, you will love this tour. If you love history, you will love this tour. And whether your a tourist and know very little about DC or a history buff and think you know a lot about DC, you will absolutely love this tour. Highly recommend it!

Tim was an amazing tour guide, and I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting DC! I had been to the city several times before but had not walked through the neighborhoods of actual DC locals. The food and drinks were great, and the tour was very interesting. Highly recommended.
