Forth Road Bridge

If you're looking for a breathtaking experience, consider booking a tour that includes a visit to the Forth Bridges. These three impressive bridges span the Firth of Forth, and are a sight to behold. The Forth Bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks. The Forth Road Bridge, opened in 1964 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, is a long-span suspension bridge over 2.5 kilometres in length, with towers over 150 metres high. The Queensferry Crossing, opened in 2017, is the newest of the three and spans the firth with its modern design. Don't miss out on the opportunity to see these engineering marvels up close and appreciate their beauty and significance in Scottish history.

Linlithgow Palace

As you pass by Linlithgow Palace in Scotland, you'll see a magnificent medieval castle that once served as the birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots. Although much of the palace now lies in ruins, the grandeur and history of the site are still evident. Built in the 15th century by King James I, the palace was a favored residence of the Scottish monarchs for centuries, and it played a pivotal role in many important events in Scottish history. Today, visitors can still explore the palace's many chambers, courtyards, and towers, and imagine what life was like for the royals who once called this impressive castle their home.

Oh definitely take this journey with Edmonton! He is full of knowledge and a joy to be in a car with all day. He's quick to make sure you get to see the things that are important to you and he's always there to offer to take a photo. He had some great suggestions and surprised us with some treats for the Highland Coos (aka Cows) which drew them near us and able to get some awesome photos and videos. Of course the landscape is amazing to see but the Coos were the highlight for me.

This was a great trip with outstanding picturesque views. The private tour is highly recommended, as it was our small group of 4 only. Our guide Ed was truly exceptional, providing important narrative and descriptions of what we were seeing and some historical context as well. Ed was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this tour.

  • Outstanding Highlands vistas!

Excellent communication from our guide, Ed. Pick up from the hotel was convenient. Ride was generously sized for our family of 4 adults and spotlessly clean. This is a long day - take snacks! We had time to stop and grab a bite and Ed was always sure to drop us off in a safe spot. Wear comfortable but sturdy footwear. Dress for the weather - there’s room to bring a small backpack if needed. Our weather was beautiful but were it cloudy or very rainy, some of the views might be impaired. The midges in Glencoe were mild, but I understand we were lucky in that regard. Highly recommend this tour. Make sure to reserve your Loch Ness boat ride and distillery tour as soon as you are able - they fill up fast in the summer. Our thanks to Ed for providing us a fun and informative day!

it is all day long, beautiful road trip Driver (Ed) Edmond was a very knowledgeable tour guide and driver, showed up early, vehicle was clean and comfortable. Weather was raining but was typical for the highlands, it is why it so green. It was a perfect way to explore scotland without being on a large bus. Plenty of rest breaks along the route, lunch was okay, my fault for ordering poorly. But driver got us there before the large crowds showed up, so we were fortunate that the driver was aware of the patterns of the flow of people during lunch hour, since very few places were available.

  • Must-do tour for anyone wanting a big taste of The Highlands

Ed does it all! Need to customize part of your trip? Check. Ask obscure Scottish culture questions? Check. Learn about any monarch or historical event you’ve ever heard of (and a few you probably haven’t but are important)? Check. Locate random Harry Potter, James Bond, Outlander, Game of Thrones, etc. filming locations? Check. Take as many (actually good) photos of you and your partner as your camera can hold? Check. In short, this is a must-do tour if you want a big taste of what The Highlands offers.
