• With your bilingual guide, you can either visit 3 castles or 2 castles + local wine tasting in a family-owned cellar
• For the first castle, we recommend the iconic Château of Chenonceau, built on the river, one of the most stunning examples of Loire Valley architecture.
• Then, marvel at the most impressive and the largest castle of the Loire Valley: Château de Chambord, commissioned by King François I and with staircases designed by Leonardo Da Vinci.
- If you decide to not do the wine tasting, you can see a 3rd castle like Chateau de Cheverny that inspired Hergé to create his comic strip character Tintin.
Whether you are a couple, a group of friends, or with your extended family, you will enjoy a unique visit full of interesting anecdotes and great works of art. (Your guide is also a pro at explaining art and history to children – families of all ages are welcome!)

Chateau de Chenonceau
Visit the iconic Château of Chenonceau with your local guide, one of the most stunning examples of Loire Valley architecture, with its immense gallery that spans the width of the Cher river, giving it the nickname of the “Ponte Vecchio of France.” Nicknamed the Château des Dames – the Ladies’ Château – it was successively owned by many women of power and influence including Diane de Poitiers and Caterina de’ Medici. • Inside the château we will discover the incredible collection of masterpieces (Reubens, Van Dyck, Corregio…), the royal bedrooms, salons for King François I and King Louis XIV, the chapel, and of course the gallery designed by Caterina de’Medici.

Our guide Giles picked us up on time at our hotel. We were able to tailor our experience to our liking and we were able to tour three beautiful sites. Giles was very knowledgeable and friendly.

A 5 Star Experience. BACKGROUND. A week before we toured the Loire Valley with FINDING FRANCE/Clement Decre, Brenda and I learned that Air France had a nonstop flight from Phoenix to Paris. So we grabbed two tickets for the next day (November 30), landed in Paris (December 1) and took the train to Strasbourg (Capitale de Noel) for the Christmas Markets for a few days (if you find yourself in France in December, Strasbourg is a must visit); then we returned to Paris. FINDING FRANCE. Brenda and I have been to Paris so many times over the years that we were stymied what to do next as we had three days before our flight home. In conversation with the concierge at our hotel I asked about a private tour to the Loire Valley, and he recommended FINDING FRANCE -- which was the highlight of our brief time in France. Everything was perfect from the cleanliest of the limousine to the knowledge/professionalism of Clement as he guided us through the Chateau du Clos Luce, the Leonardo Di Vinci Park and Museum, the Chateau du Chenonceau and the Loire Valley. (As an aside, Clement showed us a small restaurant in Amboise, no tourists just locals, where we had the best ever ham and cheese sandwich!) THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING. This June 2025, after high school graduation and before our granddaughter starts college, we will be returning to France -- and we will be booking a tour with FINDING FRANCE. Brenda and I cannot think of better way to introduce our granddaughter to France than a tour with FINDING FRANCE. As I earlier said, it is a "5 Star Experience."

Clement and Gilles made our day trip to the Loire Valley one of the most memorable and special days! We were a group of 10 people ranging from 4 to 75 years old and they catered to all of our needs perfectly! They were both so knowledgeable. Every detail was perfection! I could not recommend them enough. I hope to be back for more tours in the near future!!

We had a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Our guide Clement made sure everything went perfectly and that everyone’s needs were met. We were a large family ages 72 to 4. It couldn’t have been better and we would highly recommend this company and guide to anyone.
