The tour begins in charming Westminster where you'll inspect the King's Guard, see the most famous palace in the world, and take a photo of "Big Ben." Sometimes we even have an opportunity to wave to the King and sometimes, he even waves back!

After exploring Westminster, it will be time for a lunch break.

Hello A most memorable tour was had with tour guide Margaret who gave us the utmost information and history as we walked the streets of London. Although I was aware of some of the sites and history, I was pleased to know even more from this excellent tour guide. Her bubbly personality and her communications were easy to follow and of course her experience could not have been better that day for the group. We both had a fulfilling experience we will always cherish, thanks to Margaret and Free Tours of Foot !!

Our guide, Maggie, was fantastic. We spent several hours walking around London with her as she pointed out landmark after landmark while relating fun stories and interesting histories about each. We all learned so much and truly enjoyed our time. She also gave us a fabulous recommendation for lunch and directed us to an authentic tea shop for a cuppa at the end of our tour. This tour won’t disappoint but be prepared to walk A LOT 😁

From start to finish, it was a seamless and unforgettable journey through the heart of London’s rich history and stunning landmarks. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the city to life with fascinating stories and insights you simply don’t get from guidebooks. We explored major iconic sites all in one day, without feeling rushed. The pace was well-balanced, with plenty of photo stops, time for questions, and a break for lunch in a charming local spot. What really stood out was how the guide connected the dots between royal traditions, historic events, and the modern city. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a deeper look into London’s story in just one day!

We absolutely loved the one-day tour of London! Be ready for plenty of walking, but it’s well worth it for such an incredible experience. Our guide, Sinead, was truly outstanding—the best we’ve ever had! If you have the time, don’t miss this all-day tour—you won’t regret it.

We had a great time on our tour while in London last week! Sinead was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, and helped with recommendations for our trip. We were able to see the changing of the guard ceremony even though the streets were packed with people. Sinead knew exactly where to take our group. I also used tours by foot to find food recommendations and other things to do in London. The best resource out there! I highly recommend this tour if you want to see the changing of the guard as well as all the top sites in London! Was a family favorite of our trip!

Such a fun tour! We ended up with a smaller group, so it was very personal and we were able to ask a lot of questions and have a personalized experience. What really made our tour epic, was our amazing guide, Sinead O’Leary. She treated us like royalty and gave us insider stories and details. Sinead is a wealth of information an even helped us to earn a prime spot outside of Clarence House where we were lucky enough to get to wave to King Charles (and Camilla) themselves on their way out for the day!

What a tour! We started with a morning stroll through all of the must see royal sights - Westminster Cathedral, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace. Our guide, Matt, also pointed us to the Churchill War Rooms, which weren't on the tour but are just down from Big Ben. We then took a lunch break and met up later for a walk through the City of London, where we learned about the history of Fleet Street and newspapers as well as the inner workings of the heart of the Financial District. We also saw quaint old pubs and new architectural wonders such as The Gherkin. We ended a glorious day at the Tower of London. It was a magnificent tour and so much better done by foot than by bus. Matt also showed us little secrets along the way, but I'll leave those for future guests to discover. Matt's passion for history and his love for tour guiding were on full display. Take this tour when you visit London!!

I always book with Tours By Foot when I have the chance. We had taken a tour last month when visiting with family that was fantastic so I knew I wanted to rebook with business colleagues. We had limited time for sightseeing, so this 6 hour tour was a great value. We saw all the major highlights and our guide gave us great recommendations for transit and dining. This is a perfect option if you want to see the best of London all in one go.
