Mindo's cloudforest is one of the most diverse ecosistems in the planet, perfect place for birdwatching, butterflies and to find the real conexion with nature. This tour used to be more active based on itinerary, but now is focused on finding conexion with nature and to learn from it, experiencing real contact with butterflies, hummingbirds and learning about products with a chocolate tour. Located two hours from the city of Quito towards the coast.
This change in altitude and temperature makes it the perfect climate for wildlife.
Cloudforest known for its great variety of birds, plants, orchids, and a diversity of fruits.
Accompanied by a certificated local tour guide and driver, an open-minded ambient, good music, safety and comfortability of his car. Feel free to ask! LGBTIQ 420 friendly.

5.00My private tour with Daniel was outstanding. He shared info, answered questions, and had so much knowledge and history of Ecuador. We talked about so many topics and the while day was just so enjoyable and amazing! The chocolate tour was so interesting, I loved it. If I come back to Ecuador, I will look for him for sure.

5.00This was the perfect day out. Daniel’s safe driving, deep knowledge of the area and culture, and excellent English meant that we had a tour tailored to meet our needs and exceed our expectations. From feeling butterflies and hummingbirds to feeding ourselves chocolate and visiting the Equator, we had an amazing experience that we will never forget.

5.00Daniel took us to some very cool places like the night walk and hummingbird observing center. We are vegetarian and he worked really hard to find great places for us to eat, etc. We loved him and highly recommend him.

5.00Brilliant day. We liaised with Daniel about what we wanted to do in Quito and the Mindo area. He made a number of suggestions and gave us some very practical advice based on his good experience of guiding in the area and we agreed a brilliant day...humming birds, butterflies, orchids, chocolate factory (we weren't that keen on this initially having been on visits elsewhere but his choice was excellent- educational, lots of samples and then a really tasty chicken and chocolate lunch!). We finished off the day visiting the equator museum and monument on the way back to Quito. Daniel is able to put across information in an enthusiastic and often humorous way. He genuinely wants you to enjoy your trip with him in a way you don't often experience with local guides and he will go out of his way to give you the best experience he can. We are lucky enough to be pretty widely travelled and would throughly recommend Daneil and his MuFi travels to anyone visiting the Quito area

5.00Butterflies, hummingbirds and a Chocolate tour. No words. Such a great experience interacting with nature. The Chocolate tour was interesting and the chocolate was very tasty. I bought multiple bags of chocolate to bring home.

5.00I would highly recommend taking Daniel’s cloud forest tour. I was traveling with two friends and Daniel was very informative, as well as careful to give us enough time in each place to enjoy. The hummingbirds were a life memory. The rest of the trip was fascinating as well. Don’t miss this one!

5.00If you are deciding on a tour option and guide in Ecuador, pick this one with Daniel! My husband and I traveled to Ecuador with another couple a few weeks ago and we chose this tour and had a fantastic day. Daniel is a wealth of knowledge and we learned so much while seeing Mindo Cloud Forest, the butterfly farm, Mindo Chocolate for a tour and tasting and Mitad del Mundo (the authentic one) and every stop was great! Daniel catered to what we wanted to do and managed to get us back on time to get to Mitad del Mundo before they closed at 5 (and stop for empanadas on the way home). I felt like we made a friend and would recommend Daniel for any tour in the beautiful country of Ecuador!

5.00Daniel was very knowledgeable about Ecuadorian biodiversity, and he was always so personable. He made my experience more about the animals as I am an animal person through and through. He taught me so much about the massive amounts of plants and animals, I also taught him a thing or two about ours. But please don't miss out on this, his tours are amazing. Will definitely go with him again on a future trip.

5.00Daniel made the whole experience personalized and honestly I couldn't ask for a better guide. The tour was a beautiful showcase of Ecuador's biodiversity and he was super knowledgeable about the animals and landscape. He was awesome, so much so I booked another excursion with him!

5.00The tour with Daniel was amazing and planned thoroughly as described. Daniel is very dedicated and flexible personality. Could not be happier with that choice. The day was full of joy and wonderful emotions. The first stop was butterflies observation then forest hiking with waterfalls. At the last stop we were visiting chocolate factory where we had lunch. Highly recommended to take this tour with Daniel if you visiting Quito.
