5.00This tour was so much fun, we visited heaps of filming locations and dressed up as hobbits! This tour felt special with exclusive access to Isengard, a small tour group for a personal experience and a super knowledgeable guide. Our guide Dan was keen to answer any questions and told us so many insider stories about the LOTR filming. Beautiful views made for some great photo opportunities, I especially enjoyed dressing up as a hobbit in Lothlórien with cloaks, replica swords and the One Ring. Plus, there was a lovely morning tea stop in Glenorchy by the lake. Overall, an amazing immersion into The Lord of the Rings universe, I would highly recommend to everyone!

5.00100% fantastic! This was the second half of our "all day LOTR adventure" )Trails of Middle Earth and Pure Glenorchy team up to offer a full day LOTR tour). Our guide, Tristen was a walking encyclopedia of all things LOTR (with great side stories, awesome recommendations for where to learn more about LOTR behind the scenes stuff and listening to the trilogy via audiobook). He also had a great sense of humor and was a lot of fun to be with. Because of the partnership with Trails of Middle Earth, we were able to go to a couple of filming locations that are exclusive to this tour company---ones that no other tour company has (regardless of what they put on their site or the links that you click on that take you to pictures of those locations on their website). We enjoyed every minute of the tour and later, when listening to other people talk about their tours, realized just how awesome ours was and how lucky we were to go with Pure Glenorchy and have Tristen as our guide.

5.00Tristan was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. While none of the 4 of our group were avid LOTR fans and 2 of us had not seen the movies or read the books at all, Tristan made the tour enjoyable for all. He gave great context and showed his passion for his job. Neat experience and right amount of time overall and at each stop.

5.00A wonderful second part of our full day tour. The tours is operated by separate small businesses and Pure Glenorchy provided the afternoon talking us to Glenorchy and Paradise. We had Tristan as our guide, a hugely knowledgeable LOTR fan and amazing guide. We were able to access exclusive locations not open to the public as well as handle props and see lots of beautiful filming locations from Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit. A wonderful afternoon to cap an amazing day of LOTR based Queenstown sightseeing.

5.00As a self confessed Tolkien tragic I was sceptical about the tour but immediately found myself enjoying the company of even nerdier fans than me. The locations were beautiful and the connection to the filming process was amazing. Tristan was the perfect guide, covering all aspects of the experience from book references to film trivia. I got to handle Sting and Anduril which was very cool. Can't recommend this tour enough. It comes a close second to the Hobbiton site for excitement.
