This tour shows you locations used to film LOTR. Actually sets are not standing, however we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Amy was so engaging and informative. It is a moderately active tour. I recommend the tour.

Really enjoyed the tour. Tristan really knew his stuff, and his enthusiasm kept you listening to everything. Fun to dress up. Bonus for Wolverine fans too.

Best way to end our vacation. Our tour guide Dan was 10/10. His enthusiasm for New Zealand and Lord of the Rings really elevated the experience, and the rest of our group was great too. We got to see a lot but never felt rushed needing to get to the next destination, and Dan was happy to help take good photos, especially those who wore the provided costumes. Highly recommend this provider. Relaxed pace with really cool highlights.

It is a moderately active tour with a small hike in a beautiful forest. Getting in/out the van could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues but it is doable. Really informative for all levels of LOTR affectionados.

Lord of the Ring Tour – Pure Glenochy group. I booked a full-day tour via Pure Glenochy tour group. The tour’s logistics changed by the time we showed up for boarding. Trails of Middle Earth group and Pure Glenochy group had gone into partnership. Pure Glenochy took the Glenochy portion of the tour, while Trails took the other. Amy was our guide for the Glenochy portion. Her tour script disengaged us for long periods of time, where she filled the voids with music and prerecorded scripts. Near the end of her tour, we listened to the movie soundtrack for 45 mins. While she is not a Lord of the Ring nerd, at least she did not come across as one, the company should have provided her with scripts to cover the entire 4 hours where she would provide educational commentaries on the making of the movie, and allow her to become an engaging storyteller to connect us to the parts of the movie that she was covering.

You don't have to know everything about the Lord of the Rings to enjoy this tour. Dan was a great guide, and everyone had so much fun stepping into characters and enjoying the scenery. I would definately recommend this tour

This was a great tour with Tristan! The group was small enough for us to be able to ask questions, share trivia and get great photos. Tristan was a true fan geek and enjoyed the trip as much as we did. Beautiful half day and fun costumes, but the best part was the final stop only accessible by this tour company on private farm land. Tristan helped us all capture the moment. ❤️

We were not familiar with the Lord of the rings or Hobbit films but went for the scenary which was stunning and well worth the trip. Dan, our driver and tour guide, gave an interesting and entertaining commentary that greatly enhanced the trip

Such a great experience! Unreal spots and scenery, with behind the scenes stories and photos from the LOTR and Hobbit movies. Our tour guide was great!
