The best experience to learn about the old arts of Venice lagoon islands: Murano and Burano.
With a private boat from Venice, directly to the oldest original Murano Glass Factory, where a Master glassblower and his team are working daily, following the tradition of centuries ago. From Murano, crossing the lagoon, we’ll reach Burano island, famous for its lace work and the colourful atmosphere. Walking by picturesque houses, enjoying the typical “bussolai” (famous cookies of the island), feeling like a resident. Last but not least, an insightful guided visit into an historical hand-made lace workshop.
Then back to Venice by private boat, for an outstanding view of the lagoon.

Our tour guide (Giovanni) was the perfect person to take us to Murano and Burano. He did a wonderful job sharing his knowledge throughout the tour - and showed remarkable patience while we shopped in Murano:-). Giovanni was generous with his expertise, his time, and sharing information regarding Venice (in general) and Murano and Burano (specifically). We were impressed with his professionalism and his breadth of knowledge with respect to details - both big and small (we asked a lot of questions)! Without a doubt, you should ask for Giovanni to take you on the Murano and Burano tour. We had a wonderful time and learned so much!

This is an awesome tour that offers an escape from the busyness of Venice. Our guide, Nico was very friendly and gave us such an amazing overview of the history and culture of Murano, Burano and Venice. Touring the Venier glass studio and watching glass artist, Luca create his works of art was fabulous! Colorful Burano was beautiful to see and Nico was a master of avoiding the large tour crowds (which we greatly appreciated). All of the water transportation was so fun to experience. I highly recommend this tour.

Giorgio was a great guide. She knows Murano and Burano very well and took us to some cool sights. The best part was our private visit with the master glass artist. We got to sit right in his shop and watch him work. We also had a personal tour in his studio. Awesome! Thanks for the Burano cookies Giorgio!
