The best experience to learn about the old arts of Venice lagoon islands: Murano and Burano.
With a private boat from Venice, directly to the oldest original Murano Glass Factory, where a Master glassblower and his team are working daily, following the tradition of centuries ago. From Murano, crossing the lagoon, we’ll reach Burano island, famous for its lace work and the colourful atmosphere. Walking by picturesque houses, enjoying the typical “bussolai” (famous cookies of the island), feeling like a resident. Last but not least, an insightful guided visit into an historical hand-made lace workshop.
Then back to Venice by private boat, for an outstanding view of the lagoon.

This was a perft tour to be able to see and experience both Murano and Burano islands. On Murano, the glass blowing demonstration was amazing, and the gallery tour provided a perfect opportunity either to shop or just to see the amazing work. The easy walk around Burano was lovely and beautiful, and the lace making was again a great way to see the artistry and to shop if desired. Matteo, who was also a local to Burano island, was extremely friendly and knowledgable, as well as being very adaptable to where we wanted to spend time.

Spent a wonderful afternoon with our guide Nico. He was friendly and informative and taught us a great deal about Murano, Burano and the history of Venice. We loved our tour of the glass factory, the skill involved in making these beautiful pieces is incredible. Walking the showrooms is like touring a museum. Of course, they would like you to buy something, but we didn’t feel pressured. Enjoyed learning about the art of making lace in Burano and touring the colorful village. The time on the boat was great fun. Would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a perfect way to explore the islands outside of Venice and step away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our tour guide (Nicholas, sp?) was fantastic. A Venetian local with a wealth of knowledge and went out of his way to customize our experience for us. The tour of Murano was terrific and our 4 year old loved the colors and she was given a very nice gift at the end. Burano was stunning with its colorful houses. A much slower pace compared to Venice, which was enjoyable. The day was a bit foggy, but didnt take away from the amazing experience. Additional kudos to our tour guide for also helping us book our water taxi ride the next day to the airport. It was smooth and effortless.
