Was a nice day. We were taken up to the lookout over Christchurch then through the city area with informative commentary about the earthquakes then we made our way out to the wineries with lots of countryside to view.

Started with a driving tour of Christchurch and learned about their devastating earthquake 14 years ago. Enjoyed a stop at a garden along the way. Then visited 3 wineries in the Waipara wine country - enjoyed the beauty of the countryside as well as each of the wineries. Had a nice lunch at the second winery. Our bus held 16 people - nice size and we had good people and a nice driver. This would have been a 5 star trip except for 2 things - one was the stop at the overlook was crammed with way too many people and buses at the same time which made it hard to enjoy and the bathrooms were very limited. The other was our driver had problems with his microphone so I think he didn’t share as many stories as we were driving.

Very fun and informative outing. Our guide, Rob, was quite engaging. We had a nice tour of the city, with several stops. Then, off to the wineries. Really enjoyable!

3 Wineries. Wine was great at 2 - could be improved at the last stop stops. I'm sure they alternate the wineries though.

City Highlights & Waipara wine tour was great. Carmen our guide was really great! The ‘city highlights’ was just that. Most of the day was at the 3 wineries. The hosts were exceptional at George Road Winery, and the wines were good. The second stop was wine and lunch. Again, good wines. The lunch was not my favorite. I try to keep an open mind being from a foreign country, but it my mind it fell flat. By the third stop we were all pretty chatty and having a great time.

This was by far THE best tour we have been on. Tania was an incredibly delightful guide. She kept us laughing the whole time along with being very informative. The wineries were great and we are so glad we can order wine online to be shipped home because we found so many we liked but have limited suitcase space. K Syrah Tania!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Had the absolute best day with Di... She was a lifetime local and had so many great stories and was so engaging and personable. The morning tour of the city with just two other people was beautiful and Christchurch is at the top of our list to come back and discover... One day off the cruise ship wasn't enough! After the morning, we picked up more people and headed to the wine tastings. The small group we had from around the world became fast friends. We had such an amazing afternoon of wine tasting, beautiful views and friendly people. We didn't want it to end! Thanks for the great day!

This tour was wonderful, our tour guide Joseph picked us up at the port of Lyttleton and drove us over the pass to Christchurch then to the Waipara valley. We visited small family owned vineyards for our tastings and lunch. The lunch was creative and delicious.
