What To Expect
Reserva nacional Magallanes
Beautiful landscapes give rise to a varied vegetation. In the reserve there is a one-hour walk where you can see flora and fauna. In addition, there is a variety of shrubs such as el calafate, romerillo, michay, sarsaparilla; associated with them, you can see a significant number of herbs and plants (about 200) that bloom colorfully in spring.

Plaza Muñoz Gamero, also known as Plaza de Armas, 1 is a public space located in the city of Punta Arenas, Chile. The square is located in the quadrant formed by Carlos Bories and Hernando de Magallanes streets to the north, Julio Roca and Pedro Montt to the east, José Nogueira and May 21 to the south, Fagnano and Waldo Seguel to the west. The square was declared a Typical Zone in 1991

5.00Nicolas, our tour guide, started the tour by taking us for a most interesting hike thru parts of the Magallanes National Reserve. He was very knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna. It was obvious that he loves the reserve and I can see why. Afterwards we toured Punta Arenas, walking around the city square and waterfront. Ruben was a most excellent driver. This is a good tour to get a taste of the area and stretch your legs besides.

5.00We had an amazing experience with Nicolas. From the beginning he was a very friendly person, with excellent English that made communication very easy. He shared a lot of interesting information and showed us the city in an original and very entertaining way. We were extremely happy not only for the tour itself, which was wonderful, but also because the weather gave us a spectacular snow day in the park, a real postcard! Thanks for everything, Nicolas!

4.00Nicolas our guide was knowledgeable and excellent. Private tour for 4 after we got off the cruise ship. Went for a walk through the forest reserve with great sights and then city tour of all the highlights. Enjoyed the tour but was pricey, $650 for 4 persons and that didn’t include the $8pp Magellanes National Reserve entry fee or cemetary entry fee.

4.00We enjoyed our guide and this tour, very informative short and to the point. My only recommendation is having a larger car for 6 adults it was a bit tight with 2 large 6’2 men and having to jump in the 3 rd seat in the back for others was a bit challenging and uncomfortable. Besides that we enjoyed it very much . Thanks

5.00Excellent, friendly, personable tour guide named Nicolas. He is knowledgeable, flexible and accommodated to our every request. Highly recommended this tour even though Veronica the tour main representative sounded very rude in pre-tour communications. Might be because of translation gap.
