The site was wonderful however, the experience was terrible. It was a long journey, and the guide said little on the way to explain what we were seeing. His English was difficult to understand. He was not proactive we had to ask him for a little information. At the site, he walked around, and didn't seem to know much. When we needed the toilet and asked he didn’t do it. This made the return very uncomfortable . It was very hot at Tajin we should have left earlier. We felt accompanied rather than guided, and not looked after.

This was an average experience. The transportation was not suitable for four adults plus the tour guide. Getting in and out of the vehicle was a hassle and uncomfortable due to the limited leg room in the rear seats. This tour required above six hours of travel time in the vehicle and it became uncomfortable due to the leg room and lack of air conditioning. The guide at Tajin was amazing and other locations were great. The restaurant we visited was also great. The tour guide was okay. He would at times go on tangents and sometimes not include the whole group when giving his talks.

A great trip to see the country north of Veracruz. El Tajin was amazing. Papantla was also interesting, though not much time was spent there. The drive was pretty long and it was hot. But it was totally worth it. Just make sure to bring enough water. Rafael was a great guide. He knew his stuff and was enthusiastic in sharing. If you are curious he can answer questions about many aspects of the country. I don’t know how he stayed awake for the return drive. Kudos to him.

It is an excellent experience to visit this beautiful place and it is perfect if you go on a cloudy day, it is too big and the explanation is a bit tedious but easy to understand, everything looks perfect from the viewpoint and the museum keeps many important relics. I totally recommend the place.

Interesting and beautiful archaeological area of Tajín, Veracruz. I was impressed, the warmth of its people and the cleanliness of the place. The unfortunate thing is the state of some pyramids, but I don't know, if it's because of natural deterioration, that is by carelessness.
