You can experience an authentic cooking experience of baking pirozhki in Hakodate, where the cultures of Russia and Japan have mixed. Pirozhki, a stuffed bread you will cook in this experience, is popular in Japan. Deep-frying is a common cooking method in other areas of Japan, but the traditional oven-baked cooking is still in use here in Hakodate. The original recipe includes unique ingredients from Hakodate, such as Ezo-shika (Hokkaido deer) and Ezo-maitake mushroom is dedicated to the authentic cooking. The flavor has been enjoyed by not only Japanese tourists but also international students from Russia, the home of the dishes. Let's try Hakodate's specialty cuisine that has nurtured the original culture, as the settlement of people from all over the world. Also, during the baking time, a friendly guide will take you on a safe and enjoyable tour. We will take you to not only Hakodate's famous churches, but also to hidden spots that do not appear in guidebooks. This tour is recommended for those who want to enjoy the deep side of Hakodate! This will be a Hakodate trip that you will enjoy with all your senses!

We had a great experience sampling the amazing array of sweet and savory fillings and rolling out and stuffing the dough. The final products were delicious (including the optional borshch) and the walk to local churches and parks during the bake time was a lovely way to experience Hakodate. We never would have found this hidden gem of a cafe without this listing, and getting to not only order from the counter but actually having a hands-on experiencing making our own piroshki was great.

This was one of the quirkiest, last wonderful adventure. the experience was completely hands on, with dozens of choices to hand craft the most flexible perogies. This would be something to do with a date, or friend. The owner and assistant were extremely friendly, welcoming, ensuring an incredible experience. After preparing the treats, it was time to let them rise, so we went for a short neighborhood walk exploring locals temples and Russian churches. When we returned, the piping hot treats, both savory and sweet, waited to be devoured down with a lovely cup of honey tea. I could not recommend this more. Even if you have zero experience in the kitchen, you will have a great time creating.

This was a really nice activity in Hakodate and I was surprised they did the cooking class with just me! Everyone was very nice and it was a great experience. There was a lot of variety with the fillings and they also made homemade Borscht for me to try. I hope to visit there again when I return to Hakodate to say hello and enjoy the restaurant.
