What To Expect
The wine tasting experience to the Cantina Marinella with Maria is an exclusive experience for max 8 people in an amazing old cellar from the 19th century. We will meet to the Cantina and after a walk through the vineyards of Manarola, an old mule track, up to the panoramic point where the terraces descend overlooking the sea and the colorful houses and where you take beautiful pics, we will return to the cellar where the tasting of some local wines will begin: - 3 tasting glasses of white wine - 1 tasting glasses of rosé wine - 2 tasting glasses of red wine - 1 tasting glass of Sciachetra' the precious and rare sweet dessert wine with Cantucci biscuits. They will be served during the wine tasting local food products. Relax, good music and sharing at the convivial table. If you want to make the experience private and personal it is possible by reserving all seats. In case of rain we skip the walk in the vineyards and we stay in the cellar for the tasting. The times are entered by default, but they can be brought forward or postponed by an hour based on the diary and in the months of September, October and November the times are brought forward because the sun sets earlier.

5.00It was VERY informative and Maria took us on a tour of some of the vineyards. She is so knowledgeable & spent so much time educating us about local wines & wine production. She provided 9 different wine tastings (4 white, 4 red & 1 dessert) along with some exceptional foods & even shared her favorite parings. Probably the most enjoyable wine tasting event we've ever attended, and we've been on many.

In addition to tasting local wines, delicious hors d'oeuvres and a walk on the slopes among the vines, Maria offered interesting and fun stories about both production, Manarola and life in the Cinque Terre. 5.00We joined Maria for a wine tasting at Cantina Marinella, and it was without doubt one of the highlights of our entire trip to Cinque Terre. Maria is a wonderful host – warm, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about her wines. What really set this tasting apart was the way she had paired each wine with carefully chosen Italian specialities. A brilliant touch that elevated the whole experience and let every wine truly shine. We tasted alongside two other couples – one from the UK and one from Australia – and that mix of nationalities made for a wonderfully relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Exactly the kind of experience you remember long after the trip is over. Highly recommended for any wine lover visiting Manarola. Book ahead – you really don’t want to miss this.
