A tour of Southern Martinique, sold by Beyond the Beach The lady escorting the tour was very pleasant and knowledgeable giving plenty of information. The first two stops were both sales pitches, however the remainder of the tour was good with several lovely views and an extended beach stop. The downsides were the air conditioning wasn’t really effective, and allied to only getting water when requested thus made the tour somewhat uncomfortable.

Pick up at the cruise terminal worked great. The tour was interesting and the guide explained a lot and answered all the questions. Had a nice day on Martinique incl. Bathing and rum tasting. Thanks to the guide

This was one of the best excursions we had during our 10 day Caribbean cruise. Our tour guide Rosalyn was amazing. She was very informative and looked after everyone extremely well during the tour. We never felt rushed, we had interesting stops with several bathroom breaks. Our driver Marco was excellent as well...the bus was in very good condition and well air conditioned. From the moment we met our guide on the pier until drop off we were 100% pleased. The lady at the spice shop was also wonderfully welcoming, greeting everyone with a smile and even came on the bus to personally thank everyone for coming to her shop. An amazing tour experience with wonderful ambassadors for Martinique.

We had a drive to a spice centre where we bought some spices and v essence, then to a rum shop, and continued to Diamond rock where had some time to take photos etc before finishing at a nearby beach, sandy and clear water. A beautiful half day excursion

They should inform people ahead of time that the bars and restaurants in Martinique mostly do not take U.S. dollars. Other than that, it was great.

This tour wasn't really a tour at all - at least not the way I understood it to be. We spent most of the day in a bus driving and our guide talked. If I even turned to my mother who was with me to say something quietly or anyone else on the bus spoke at all, the tour guide would immediate stop talking and stare at us annoyingly for interrupting her. We went to a very small store where we could purchase spices, but learned nothing about what spices come from the islands or how they are made. We then went to a rum distillery. The facility was beautiful and we were excited to learn how rum was made. Instead, we had a rum tasting and we were encouraged to buy rum, but no tour at all - we also got in trouble by our tour guide for going to the bathroom without permission at this location. We stopped at the incredible stone monument to abolish slavery and were told we had exactly 10 minutes and then get back into the van. Our final destination was a church and beach. The church was okay, but the beach was filthy. We wouldn't do this one again.

We had a lovely tour with Manuel as our guide. It was our first time in Martinique and the tour was such a good overview of this beautiful, lush island. The spice and chocolate shop were a nice introduction, then on to the rum distillery with picturesque views, rum samples and ice cream. Manuel was such a fun guide and took so many pictures for us to remember this trip. The many vistas that we saw and the drinks and cake at the beach made for a memorable day. You will be very lucky if you are able to spend this tour with Manuel as your guide!!

This is our third visit to Martinique. If you are deciding what tour to take, this is good if you have already toured the northern part of the island. Rose was our guide and did a great job of meeting us at the port. Four people did not show. Luckily, the policy is to wait 10 minutes. We were told to meet 10-15 minutes before the start time of 9:00. So given that we waited 20-25 minutes. Once we were on the road Rose gave us a great narration on the history of Martinique. Our first stop was a cute rum distillery. We then stopped in a village to shop at a market. To Rose’s surprise it was closed due to a special event. I feel the tour company should have known this and planned an alternative stop. Rose was great at rolling with the changes. We then stopped at the slave memorial. Our final stop was a beach town. It’s super cute. We were only there for about one hour, so we decided to walk around the town instead of swimming at the beach. There are no chairs or umbrellas to rent here so keep that in mind if you plan on staying on the beach. It was about an hour drive back to the ship. I wish the stops were closer together. Most of the 5 hour tour was spent on the bus driving.
