Your day begins with pickup at your hotel, or at the downtown Visitor Center, in our comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van. Pickups are between 7:45 and 8:30AM, depending on location. As we head out of Anchorage your guide will talk about the City's history and key points of interest. Journeying north on the Glenn Highway your guide will share interesting information about the Matanuska Valley and the various communities along the way. After about 30 minutes, the natural beauty of the drive takes over as we enjoy the view of the Talkeetna and Chugach mountains and, on a clear day, the Alaska Range. The Matanuska River is our companion as we ascend to the Matanuska Glacier and arrive for your guided hike. The glacier guides will outfit you with ice spikes and helmets (in the summer); there are also hiking poles available for your use. These guides are experts in what the glacier has to offer each day, as well as its natural history. There will be lots of opportunities for great photos! After your approximately 2-hour adventure on the ice we head next door for lunch at an authentic Alaska lodge with an epic view of the glacier. Heading home after lunch we have the option to pull of at some scenic points in case you haven't gotten enough pictures for the day. 8 hours - $249.00 Departs 8:30 am Included: Glacier access and guiding Not included: Lunch, gratuities

It was a good experience, and we got to like on the glacier, but we basically stayed along the very end of the glacier. It was a good experience and I would recommend it, but the day before we did a helicopter tour the day before and landed on the Knik glacier, sk it was different.

Lory was incredibly knowledgeable and wonderful with the tour. She picked us up from our hotel and brought us back safe! The tour is really all day. We had many stops and of course matanuska glacier was incredible and the guides at the glacier were wonderful! Our tour guide at the glacier was Shea, he was so friendly, careful taking us through the tour and showing us so much and he did taught us so much about the area, the glacier and so much more! This tour is absolutely incredible and would recommend it to anyone! Lory definitely will take care of your party!

My husband and I had so much fun on this tour! Our tour guide, Lori was extremely knowledgeable and kind. We stopped along the way for snacks and a bathroom break, as well as for lunch after at a lodge nearby the glacier. The glacier itself was also amazing! The guides were very kind, helpful, and made sure we were all safe, while also making the experience fun. 10/10, or in this case 5/5, highly recommend!

Such an awesome experience when you consider where you are! I had seen colors from photos and real life did not disappoint! I even bought clothing to compliment the scenery. The glacier guide was knowledgeable and patient even taking pics and carving out ancient ice to eat. I do have knee and hip issues and used poles for balance which helped. Don't expect poles to support you on the ice though. A couple of sets of ice stairs were a challenge but I'm glad I did it. No regrets! Lori kept up the rear with me and I felt safe. Thank you 907 Tours!

Amazing tour to Matanuska Glacier! The experience was incredible and very well organized. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained a lot about the glacier, the landscape, and the history of the area. Lori was also very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the trip. They both made the tour fun, informative, and safe. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Alaska!

A must do ! Matanuska happens to be the largest road accesible glacier in North America: The tour is perfectly organized and the guides extremely knowledgeable. End of March was perfect timing, we had a very sunny day with temperatures close to 32F (0 C). Sunlight shining over that much ice is worth seeing !

Experience is great, must-do when in Anchorage. Lori is amazing (and the owner)!!! Side note: you can also book this tour directly with the glacier park, but then you have to drive on snowy, windy roads for a couple hours.
