I wanted to make a special gift for my adult daughter. Mona Lisa can teach you to make beautiful keepsake jewelry that can be worn daily! I spend a lot of time in the ocean and these pieces can be worn in the water. I brought my own shells I have gathered here on Maui and she taught me how to make a one of a kind necklace made of silver. There were options for beading and shell kits she had already put together if you don’t have your own shells or a specific idea as well. Oh and my boyfriend was with me and did some wire wrapping to one of his cowry shells too. She has a full studio and even had snacks and drinks available. She is a wealth of knowledge and I can’t wait to get a group of girlfriends together for next time!!

This class was super fun, informative and we made some beautiful Hawaiian jewelry that will bring back wonderful memories every time we wear them or see family members wearing the pieces. The headbands are truly marvelous. Definitely check them out. Highly recommend this being a stop for an afternoon fun event on your Maui vacay.

Mona Lisa was fantastic! She has years of experience as an Artist in different areas. She tailored the class to my level of experience. She is so kind and knowledgeable. I will absolutely take her class again in person and on zoom. I learned a lot about Hawaiian history of Puka shells and pearls. Mona Lisa even provided snacks that were so yummy and a parting gift. So happy to have met her. Mahalo.

I recently took an online class with Maui Mona Lisa where she taught me how to make a beautiful puka shell necklace. Her work is stunning on its own, but what makes each piece truly extraordinary is that she personally dives for every shell. Her love, intention, and artistry flow through every step of her process. I first met Mona Lisa when she helped us bring together the ceremony for Scott, and we’ve stayed connected ever since. She is world-renowned for a reason…every creation she makes carries a depth, beauty, and spirit that is uniquely hers. This experience would make any gathering ( or alone) or even an incredible “come-together and create” event for a bride and her wedding party. Mona Lisa can dedicate special time and intention to craft an Aloha inspired ceremony, dive for the shells, and then host a live Zoom class from Maui, no matter where you are. With enough planning, she can arrange everything: gather the shells, prepare beautifully packaged kits, ship them to your group, and then guide everyone through making their own pieces together. I absolutely love the necklace I created, and I truly loved spending an afternoon learning from her. Mahalo Mona Lisa !
