James was so cool, interesting, and willing to take so many photos. He exuded genuineness and was very proud to talk about Hawaiian heritage and history. The sunset was amazing. And even though the moon was out, we really enjoyed learning about the constellations. Plus, we saw nenes on the way up

This was a one of a kind experience! James, our tour guide, picked us up 5 minutes from our resort and made the entire night run smoothly. He gave us our full itinerary from the start, anticipated everything, told us what to expect, and even planned in bathroom breaks! He gave us great facts about the island that we did not know about in addition to everything we did on the tour. We got to see an amazing sunset, stargaze and see different constellations, eat dinner, and even have hot chocolate to keep us warm. I would highly recommend this experience!

We went on the Mauna Kea Summit tour with James to see the satellites on top of the mountain and see the sunset and stars. Our guided tour was great - James always checked in with the group to make sure everyone was adjusting well to the altitude and it was a relatively smooth drive. Hawaiian eyes was also great with getting vegetarian sandwiches for our group of 4 and even provided hot cocoa during the stargazing portion of the tour. Our group took so many pictures with sunset over clouds and with the stars.Thank you James!!
