I really looked forward to the swim with turtles. That’s not it was. There was one poor turtle being chased down by at least 5 other boats also full of tourist. The coral was dead due to the high volume of people and tourist boats and lots of sea urchins so bring water shoes. But the second part was good. Nishel was our driver and guide. He asked what we liked, needed and took us around. Food was good got vanilla like I wanted. He explained the culture, history and life on Mauritius.

Our guide for the day was Deepak, who was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and very happy to engage in conversation, explaining the history of the island along our journey. He took us to places we wouldn’t have found on our own, and the experience was definitely worth doing. The snorkelling was excellent, and we managed to swim very close to a turtle within 10 minutes on the boat. The boiled noodles are delicious!

It was good. The turtle was really close but some other tourists couldn't resist the urge to touch the friendly critter even after several hints not to do so. We have some great videos of the beautiful reptile. The street food tour was also good. It was our first time in Port Louis and it looks so vibrant and interesting. Our guide Deepak gave us in Port Louis and on the way to the turtle beach some interesting trivia and insights about Mauritius. Overall a great trip.

We went with VIATORS it was the worst experience I have ever had, we were dragged by the boat, shouted at and was only in the water about 15 to 30 minutes, the boat driver was throwing fish at the turtles which frightened them, my daughter and I were so scared of being shouted at we swam back to shore which was about 800m for a 14 year old anything could have gone wrong.

We booked this trip and were so upset it was the worst day I have ever had, firstly we were in the water for less then 15 minutes, the boat driver shouted at myself and my daughter and we were so scared to get back on the boat we swam to shore, it was quite away in deep water, the boat gets so close to the turtles and throwing fish at them very hard, that they weren't happy at all, this is cruel. From start of getting into the boat to it ending was about 30 minutes max.

Don’t waste your money. We got picked up ok with our driver and dropped at the beach to get on the boat to see the Turtles. That’s where it went down hill very fast. We got taken out on a boat and swapped to another boat where it was obviously a trip others had already started. We got in the water to see the Turtles and was asked to hold onto the steps while the boat reversed along. This was not pleasant and my partner and her daughter couldn’t hold onto it properly as they were being kicked in the face by others holding another step. My partners daughter was dragged over the coral and scraped her legs. They then refused to hold onto the boat and swam back to the beach. I got on the boat while it moved further along and got back in again. The operator of the boat was very rude and all in all I was only out about 30mins at most. My partner was that upset we went back to our hotel from there and did not do the rest of the trip.

Our tourguide Deepak was amazing. He was very professional, pointed out interesting sites and buildings, explained the culture of Mauritian life and food and economy. We stopped off first for our turtle swimming and saw one! He then took us to great street food places, (the food was gorgeous) a tea factory for out of this world tea, and a great souvenir place for various local made items and rum tasting. Such a great guy and a lovley interesting tour.

Absolutely loved this trip. Deepak our driver/guide was friendly & very knowledgeable. The drive to Trou Beach passed so quickly as he gave us lots of information on the areas we passed through. The guys on the boat to the lagoon were friendly & helpful too. They pointed out where the turtles were so we could snorkel across to them. We saw two turtles, whilst in the water, who swam around us & another one from the boat. The chicken noodles at Balaclava Marina were excellent, really tasty. We then travelled back to Port Louis for tea tasting & then onto the market. After parking on the sea front, Deepak gave us lots of information about Port Louis on the walk to the market. Once at the market, we had pineapple with Tamarin, Dhal Puri & a compressed milk sweet dessert & a drink called Alouda(?) which was condensed milk, strawberry & chia seeds with a blob of ice cream - absolutely delicious! We then drove to a souvenir shop where we bought a wooden dodo, flavoured rum & other items. We then travelled back to our hotel, again being given lots of interesting information. I would definitely recommend this trip & if you are lucky enough to get Deepak as your driver, it will be an amazing excursion.

Babu and Ale imour driver were great. Good choices of food spots. Transport was very convenient and everything was well organised. Good local food choices especially the noodles on the first stop. The turtle viewing was very good but maybe slightly crowded may have been better going earlier on the morning, but that is by no fault of the tour as they really organised it well, it just depends on the season and seeing a turtle swim underneath me a couple of times was a wonderful experience.

Fantastic day out. Was picked up at our hotel at time specified by our driver and guide for the day Deepak. We went on a short drive and went for our swim with the turtles. You are instructed not to touch or dive down to the turtles. We were lucky to arrive early enough so there was only a few people in the water. The boat trip is only 5 mins from the beach. After this we started our guided street food tour. Everything was delicious. Time in the city was fab. Deepak, our guide was fantastic, very helpful and accommodating. The whole trip lasted about 5.5 hours.
