Xunantunich
Xunantunich is located in the Cayo District near the village of San Jose Succotz just a few miles out of San Ignacio Town. From there a hand-cranked ferry will take you across the Mopan River. From the other side of the river, it’s a mile uphill to the site, which can be accessed on foot or in a vehicle. From the parking lot we will then make our way to El Castillo, one of the three largest Maya Temples of Belize, and the largest structure on this site standing 130 feet above plaza level, with a panorama overlooking the surrounding area when you climb to the top if the temple. El Castillo is remarkable for a series of stucco friezes on its exterior that depict stories and events from Maya mythology.
San Ignacio
We will be stopping at Hode's Place for lunch, this restaurant is one of the best local restaurant in San Ignacio Town.

We had a great time, our tour guide Victor made it a memorable excursion. He was very knowledgeable and funny and willing to stop along the way when we wanted to. We went to the Mayan ruins and inland blue hole. We heard howler monkeys at blue hole, great experience!

This company is absolutely amazing. We traveled to Belize in September and did the mayan ruins and blue hole tour. We had Victor as our tour guide, he is wonderful and very knowledgeable about everything. He also stopped at places along the way and showed us different parts of the Belizian culture while driving to the mayan ruins. My brother is visually impaired, and Victor and the company went out of their way to make is accessible and easier for my brother. Another reason I booked this company was they are one of the few that actually picked us up at the Hopskins Bay Resort. Most other places you would have to get a taxi to meet them. All around this is a great company and I would highly recommend if looking to do a tour in Belize. Ask for Victor when booking.

Alex was the best driver and guide at the Mayan ruins! He gave us so much history. We liked his tour so much that we signed up for 2 tours the following day. A hike to the waterfalls and swim in the waterfall pool. It was a very challenging hike and along the way he gave us examples of Mayan medicinal plants. Alex gave us delicious Belize bananas and plantain chips and water to snack on. Afterwards, we changed into clean dry clothes and took a tour of the Marie Sharps hot sauce factory. Alex suggested this tour because he heard us talk about our love of this Belize hot sauce! Super interesting experience because we got a tasting of all their hot sauces and fruit jams Thank you Alex for your knowledge, safe transport, and fun tours.

Mayan Ruins and Inland Blue Hole Combo Tour are a must see!— One of our favorite tours. Best Transfers and Tours in Belize We booked airport transfers and several tours with Julian Transfers & Tours (plus some with other companies), and overall, nothing compared to the experience we had with Julian Transfers & Tours. Professional Drivers Who Truly Care Everyone was early, professional, and shared incredible local knowledge — like must-try foods (Hudut, Fry Jacks, and Stuffed Fry Jacks) and hidden gems across Belize—genuinely aiming to make your stay unforgettable. Outstanding Communication and Organization Immediate booking confirmations, detailed follow-ups before tours, and helpful reminders (like bringing bug spray, sunblock, bathing suits, towels) — things other companies did not do. They truly help you —I also had a few special requests (like very late and early shuttle transfers for odd flight times), and they were extremely flexible and accommodating. Honest Pricing, No Hidden Fees Transparent prices, no surprise charges for stops or adjustments — making everything easy and stress-free. The Only Company I’ll Book With Again Their service, communication, knowledge, and overall care were unmatched. Can’t imagine booking with anyone else when we return to Belize. You can learn more or reach out at: https://www.belizegroundtransfers.com/ Special Shoutout to Alex: If you're lucky enough to have Alex as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. Alex didn’t just show us Belize — he made us truly experience it. You can tell he genuinely loves his country and sharing it with others. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and easygoing. Alex made our trip unforgettable — knowledgeable, welcoming, and full of heart. He went above and beyond to create personal, once-in-a-lifetime moments not found on any itinerary. Thanks to him, I got to fulfill my dream of hiking Tiger Fern. Truly an experience I’ll never forget. Highly recommend! https://www.belizegroundtransfers.com/

Travis took us around and did an excellent job. He catered to our needs and stopped when we needed a bathroom break. This was definitely worth the money and Travis/Julian Transfers & Tours is a good company. Would highly recommend!

Used Julian Transfers & Tours for the transfers between the airport & Hopkins as well as for tours to a Cacao Farm & Chocolate Factory and to the Mayan Ruins/Blue Hole. Couldn't be happier with the experience! The drivers and guides were very punctual, polite and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

The driver was a half hour late and the van did not have any signage showing the tour operator and had a cracked windshield. The driver was pleasant. It took 2 hours to get to the ruins from Hopkins but then we only spent about a half hour at the ruins. I think our tour guide at the ruins could have done a better job of explaining things. Although I am glad we saw the ruins, I don't think it is worth it to spend so little time there and the cost of this trip was not cheap. The blue hole was neat but nothing spectacular.
