This tour is ideal for those guests who want to visit and experience some of Malta’s most interesting highlights in just one day. Carefully designed to make your day truly memorable, you start by visiting the ancient Medieval city of Mdina. Other attractions visited during this tour include a visit to the nearby village of Rabat, the Catacombs dedicated to St. Cataldus (a site which represents some of the earliest archaeological evidence of Christianity In Malta), The Rotunda of Mosta (which houses the third largest unsupported dome in the world), Dingli Cliffs (at around 253 metres above sea-level, these cliffs represent the highest point of the Maltese islands), the gorgeous Botanical Gardens of San Anton and the Ta’ Qali Artisan Village, where you will be able to admire the local craftsmen and learn about the ancient technique of glassblowing.

The time shown on the website or on your ticket is the approximate start time of the activity and not the time when you will be picked up from your hotel (or closest meeting point). At least a few days before the date of your activity, you need to make sure to contact the tour operator to confirm your pick-up location and pick-up time. Your pick-up time can be anytime between 8:30 AM and 9:15 AM, depending on where you are staying.
The tour will be guided in the language you have booked, however please note that at times, depending on operational circumstances, the commentary might be provided by a multilingual guide (limited to a maximum of 2 languages).
The tour in Polish will be conducted by either a Polish-speaking guide (subject to availability) or an English-speaking guide together with a native Polish host serving as a translator.
The tour in Spanish will be conducted by either a Spanish-speaking guide (subject to availability) or an English-speaking guide together with a Spanish-speaking host serving as a translator.
The provider reserves the right to change the order of the visits without any prior notice.
Pets, luggage, and large suitcases are not allowed during the tour.
Any personal belongings, including backpacks or rucksacks, must be carried with you at all times and may not be left unattended on the coach or bus.
Infant and child seats are not provided; however, all passengers, including infants and children, will have a seat on the bus or coach.

You start by visiting the ancient Medieval city of Mdina, renowned for its opulent palaces & fortifications, medieval & baroque architecture, and ancient heritage, this majestic city; also known as Città Vecchia (The Old City) or Città Notabile (The Noble City) is unquestionably one of the island's most evocative destinations. Serving as the island's capital city from antiquity till the medieval period, Mdina is truly an enchanting city! a stroll through its narrow streets, which have not changed much in the last 1000 years, is a must for anyone visiting the Maltese islands. It is undoubtedly one of Europe’s finest examples of an ancient walled/fortified city, explore this historic city with an experienced local guide and delve into the rich past of the city as you explore its medieval streets. Take a journey back in time admiring the magnificent palazzos & churches in the city’s unique mix of medieval & baroque styles, as well as the spectacular panoramas from the high bastion walls.
Rabat
Leaving Mdina through the ‘Greeks Gate’ you will proceed on foot towards the neighbouring town of Rabat, here, we will wind our way through the old quarter and enjoy the Maltese vernacular architecture.

4.00A good tour. Hassle free. Just hopped in the bus and away we went. Our guide John Paul was very knowledgeable. The tour ran exactly to time which I appreciate. The weather was terrible but John Paul and our driver made every effort to ensure the bus was nearby for Pickups to avoid unnecessary walking jn the rain. The pick up times were clear and prompt. I enjoyed the stops on the tour though the jewellery and glass stop in the craft village could have been skipped that day because it was a public holiday and there were very few vendors. I was delighted that the chapel on Dengli cliffs was open when we were there. A rare gem. Lunch was fine. Filling. We had pesto pasta for starter, wine (though more white was needed for the group, ample red available), roast pork, potatoes and peas for main and a Maltese pastry thing for dessert. Pick ups were efficient as were drop offs. Over all a good experience.

5.00We really enjoyed our Mdina full day trip. Our guide was Ian and he was sooooo good. We visited a lot of places and Ian built a great rapport with everyone on the trip which was very professionally organised. He added so much value to the entire trip, both on location and on the bus in between. I would recommend this trip to everyone visiting Malta. The meal we had during the trip was fine but what stood out was the fact that wine was free but you had to pay for the water. I stuck to the wine which worked well. The crowning glory for me was that on my way off the bus my sunglasses slipped out of my coat pocket. A few messages to and fro later and the sunglasses were found and delivered to my hotel the next day. I was delighted as they were expensive sunglasses. Overall 20 out of 10 for our experience.

3.00John Paul was a great guide. However, when out of the coach you could hardly hear what was being said by him. Not enough time at some of the spots and the lunch had a lot to be desired, take your own!

5.00This is an excellent full day tour of historical towns and important buildings and churches in Malta. Ian has a complete knowledge of the history, artwork and culture here. Ian also presents all of Maltese history both ancient and more recent and very interesting cultural in a way that is informative and enjoyable. Ian also has a winning personality and is funny! Major kudos to our incredible driver Boba for expertly navigating the narrow and winding roads. Thank you both for a wonderful day. I highly recommend!!

However, you make plenty of savings by choosing the cheapest catacums, for i.e., or by choosing the cheapest lunch menu (compared to our French friends at the next table), and also bringing people to that glass-and-ceramic village was like bringing customers to the till and earning commission...

5.00A great way to see this part of the island. Mdina and Rabat are well worth a visit and were spectacular in the spring sunshine. La Mosta church was very ornate and well worth a visit, especially as it was getting ready for Easter. Our guide Dominic was full of knowledge and pointed out lots of areas of interest throughout the day. We did a lot of walking but it wasn’t fast paced and there were many stops along the way. It was lovely to be picked up and left off at our hotel as it’s always a challenge to find the pick up point when you’re new to the area. It was good to have lunch included as otherwise we’d have spent valuable time locating it. The 3 courses lunch with wine was just okay but we’d have liked a choice of water or wine. There seems to be traffic and roadworks everywhere in the narrow streets of Malta but our driver Jayden negotiated it all with ease. The visit to the craft centre was okay but probably not necessary as most people going on this tour are interested in the sights not shopping. We couldn’t access some of the glass displays as they were putting down a new floor!! It was a very enjoyable day. We would recommend it.

3.00I rated this trip as 3 because the tour guide was barely mentally present. Agnieszka, the translator was amazing. She explained everything so well, gave tips about local places, food etc. However the guide himself...he was sleeping on the coach, he was barely with us. If it wasnt for Agnieszka, the translator, this would not be a very good tour, experience. Also, everything was a little too rushed. It would be better to have a little more time to take pics and look around while walking around.
