I have been working for Heritage Malta, which is the national agency for cultural heritage in Malta since 1992. I was always passionate about the history and traditions of the Maltese islands since I was a young girl. I became a licensed tourist guide in 2016 specialising in small groups. I can’t wait to share my knowledge and expertise with you all to make you fall in love with this magical city as much as me!
From the meeting point we will head off to Mdina gate, where we'll explore the silent cities streets stopping by palace’s, observing and admiring the facades, the cathedral, whilst making our way to the bastions to admire the beautiful view of Malta. Walking through the medieval streets of the city we’ll head to Rabat and on our way to St.Paul’s church we’ll stop for a short break at Tas-Serkin, a café which is over 100 years old where I’ll offer you the best pastizzi in Malta and a kinnie to go with it.

Terrible organisation! The location link in the event description is wrong. Messages on the app and directly to the guide‘s phone number not replied. So i ended up alone in Mdina. A whole day passed by , still no explanation or apology message. Refund requested but also no reaction there! Lessons learned! Never join another tour with such few reviews, they have no experience !

We were lucky to be the only ones on this tour. Joanna did an excellent job with many details and insights in the history of Mdina and Rabat.

What a great introduction to Malta, its history, and beauty! The tour was a lovely stroll through ancient sections of Malta and the guide provided great historical context and local insights. She was very accommodating and provided a very informative first glimpse of Maltese architecture, culture, and key place in history. It helped me recognize symbols and understand what I was seeing for the rest of my stay. I would highly recommend her tour to anyone wanting to scrape the surface and whet the appetite for more knowledge of Malta.
