• Getting back in touch with nature - a wonderful experience

  We are not kayakers, so we were a little apprehensive but really we had nothing to worry about. Our kayaking guide was a lovely chap called Richard who provided wetsuits, boots and life jackets, and gave us instructions on how to tandem kayak. It wasn't long before we were gliding across a tranquil lake that had steam evaporating off the surface in the cool morning air. Initially there was not another soul to be seen. It was so tranquil. We felt so close to nature - seeing fish break the surface on the water and herons. We returned to our starting point to a hot cup of coffee and cake! We had an amazing time!

  We did the 1/2 day kayak trip with KoKayak near Puerto Varas. Despite being clear that we were specifically looking for a kayak trip on the main lake they failed to read our messages properly and we ended up at the small laguna nearby which we would not recommend unless you just want to try out kayaking. There is very little to see there. We are travelling on a budget and had been saving up to do a kayak trip somewhere special. We specifically wanted to kayak on Lago Llanquihue so we asked the company before booking if they would be going to the lake on the day we were booking for rather than the small laguna option which we were not interested in. They said they would but on the day we were taken to the laguna and told the lake was not an option. When we complained afterwards the company said it was a misunderstanding and it was our fault for booking a trip with two different options. We politely requested a partial refund since we had not been given the trip we asked for (and which they said they would be running) but they refused. The guide we had on the day was good but we did not enjoy our trip that much due to the location and are really disappointed with the company and their failure to either communicate properly in the first place or to rectify the situation for us afterwards. We regret booking with them, are disappointed to have spent the money on a poor experience in an otherwise beautiful area, and can't recommend this trip.

  Excellent experience, a quiet, beautiful place, Paola our guide knew a lot of the flora and fauna of the place, was explaining everything making the experience very enriching. He speaks English and Spanish very fluently, so we all understood what he was saying. I really recommend it!

  Excellent place to enjoy the scenery and nature, see cute birds and local flora, La gua Paula was very didactic with both adults and children .. the entertaining class and the route also highly recommended .. we will repeat it for the next holiday. We could observe Martin Pescador, seven colors, heron del and other beauties.

  We did a half day tour to Loreley Island by Kayak, it was amazing. Paula is an excellent guide gave us all the instructions to sail by Kayak and during the excursion told us about the flora and fauna of the place! 100% recommended !!! Thank you very much

  A highly recommended activity to do if you are staying in the surrounding area. They hand you all the kayaking accessories and take you to a beautiful lagoon where you can enjoy stunning scenery. All the people in the activity are very friendly and attentive.
