Fitzroy Gardens
We begin the Melbourne sightseeing tour at Fitzroy Gardens – 26 hectares of beautiful Victorian-era landscaping, just on the outskirts of Melbourne’s city centre. The star attraction here is Cooks’ Cottage – built in 1755 in Yorkshire, England by the parents of famed explorer Captain James Cook.
Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
The MCG is a quintessential Australian landmark, a paradise for sports enthusiasts, and one of the largest stadiums in the world. Having hosted the 1956 Olympics, it could be considered Melbourne’s unofficial second home.

It is very laid back and whilst nice I felt we could have seen much more in the time. But still very pleasant

It’s an ok tours. Not enough info about the city. However it’s nice to see Melbourne. Houses are beautiful along Brighton Beach.

I had a fantastic experience on the Melbourne Sightseeing Tour and our guide Mitzy truly made the day special. The pick-up was on time and easy, which set a great tone right from the start. Throughout the tour, Mitzy shared so much insightful information - not just about the main sightseeing spots, but also about Melbourne’s history and everyday life. It really helped me connect with the city on a deeper level and feel like I understood its character, not just its landmarks. The small bus was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making the journey very enjoyable. There were plenty of stops along the way, giving us great opportunities to take photos and soak in the views without feeling rushed. A nice bonus was the availability of plenty of water on board, which was especially appreciated during the day. Overall, a well-organised, informative, and comfortable tour—highly recommended for anyone wanting to truly experience Melbourne.

This 5hr 30min tour (as advertised) lasted barely 4 hrs as the guide was instructed by the company to wait an hour for two late clients therefore cutting the tour short for the other 8 clients who had all sat waiting for nearly an hour. The tour would have been better starting at 10 to allow people to get through the long waits involved with immigration. This should already have been known by the company as the ship calls regularly in Melbourne. It was hard to identify the guide as no clear sign was on evidence at Theo pick up point. Information throughout the tour was at best scant. We passed many buildings and places of note in silence. The sound system on board was poor as was control of the timing of stops with lack of clear instructions about return times. The bottled water eventually was offered after being asked for. In summary, the tour felt like an endurance test and the guide didn’t seem at ease with the task at hand. As this is the fifth of six tours (one to go) we have experienced on this trip, all others being excellent, at least a partial refund would not be out of order.

Truly small group as only 4 passengers! We got personalized tour and got dropped off at a location before the starting point to allow us to shop.

I hate giving a bad review, but this tour was really not acceptable. I think that the general idea--a small group driving tour around Melbourne--is a good one. But our tour guide, Mitzy, was just not good. She said at the start that she was new to doing this tour and might need to refer to her notes, which is of course understandable, but the only information she presented was from those notes! We sat in silence as we traveled to the listed sites, with members of the group occasionally trying to prompt her with questions like, "What's the population of Melbourne?" "What are the major industries?" etc. I was following the route on Google Maps, and could see that we were passing historic/important buildings, but no mention was made of them. At one point someone pointed out a large church that we were passing, and she literally said "Isn't that nice? I've always wondered what it was called." She also just in general seemed to have a bad attitude about Melbourne, and had no curiosity or enthusiasm for any of the things we were seeing. We ended up leaving the tour half way through and just taking a cab back to downtown to explore on our own. With another guide, this might be a great tour, but that was not our experience. This tour company needs to do a better job of training/vetting their guides.

We were at the parking area from 9 am. We only had our booking reference as no wifi at the wharf. We talked to all the tour drivers in the area to check if we were with them. One looked at the paper we had but indicated she didnt know the tour operator. After an hour we went back to the info centre on the wharf and aa volunteer kindly contacted Bilby who was doing the Small group tour. we were told to take a taxi to meet them at 11 am at a specific spot. Over $50 for the taxi. When the van arrived it was the sane people that we had been talking earlier; So we missed half of the tour which was what we had been wanting to see. If we didn/t catch up we would lose our bur money. Rather disappointing and hard when you are over 80. Why didn't they check their list like the other operators!!!!

Small group of 10 in minibus which with only a noisy fan & no ac got a bit warm from time to time. However Richard the driver was a knowledgeable & good guide and we managed to see & visit all the places on the itinerary including Victoria Market for a pick up 15 mins whistle stop. Plenty of loo stop opportunities if required & all in all despite no bottle of water it was a very informative & good day.
