Although we are the original whale-watching company in Juneau (operating since 1994), we are still small and family-owned and operated! We want you to feel like part of the family, and we pride ourselves on prioritizing local hires in order to give back to our community and give you the best possible tour experience. We want our guides to love Juneau as much as you do!
Our fleet consists of only mammal-friendly jet boats, and the small size and intimate setting will make you feel right at home with the whales.
We pride ourselves on our quick transfers between vehicles! We don't want you to wait any longer than you absolutely have to!

What To Expect
Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center
You will be dropped off at the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area for a self guided stop. You will be able to overlook the glacier from Photo Point Outlook, and stop by educational displays at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. If you walk down the board walk over the salmon streams, you might get a chance to see spawning salmon, or even a bear!
Juneau
Take a mammal friendly jet boat out of Auke Bay Harbor, and explore the waters surrounding Juneau in search of the majestic humpback whale! This tour includes two hours on the water where an experienced captain will take you to where ever the whales are hanging out that day!

1.00Even though our captains were nice they did not put in an effort to actually see any whales. All we saw were the blows from about 4 or 5 whales. Upon returning to our cruise ship and hearing most of the other passengers actually seeing whales and their captains on the radios telling other boats where they were, we were so disappointed ours did not do that. We did not see one whale even jump out of the water or even half way close up. So so disappointing.

5.00This was a great experience! Everything was handled expertly and everyone was knowledgeable and very friendly! The whale watching was first and we saw one whale and many Orca. Great photos and we learned so much about them. The Glacier was next and it was beautiful! It was foggy but there were times of clarity for those photos. And the bus driver (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) was very funny and informative about the area. All said, I would HIGHLY recommend this excursion and it was about half the price of the cruise ship's competition. We even had plenty of time after to explore Juneau.

5.00We were taken to the harbor by bus. We were on an enclosed boat. The trip to see the whales took about 45 minutes. There were many whales. We were taken back to the bus and then traveled to see the glacier. Get off of the bus and walk around to see the glacier and waterfall. There were salmon starting to come up river for spawning.

5.00We saw humpback whales, a sea otter (so cute!), harbor seal, sea lions, Dall porpoises, and eagles! Captain Sam is very skilled, and naturalist Rio taught us a lot! Never a dull moment, even in the rain. Thank you! It was very convenient to get a ride to Mendenhall Glacier from the same company. The driver, Terracita, let us choose how long we wanted to stay there. We saw the salmon, and I also saw a wild porcupine nearby. The boat and shuttle were both comfortable and impressive. Small group of 14. I recommend!
