Arriving at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, you’ll have two hours to explore this stunning natural wonder. Here you can choose to wander trails, photograph the glacier from the distance, or explore the Visitor’s Center. With various walking trails available, visitors of all fitness levels can enjoy spectacular views of the glacier, Mendenhall Lake, and the untouched wilderness. Entry to the Visitor’s Center is included where you can enjoy interactive exhibits and educational presentations.

5.00Located right next to the tram-easy to find. Driver was fun and informative. Bus was very comfortable. For reviewers that say it drops you off at the first loop and not “right” at the entrance may be a problem for someone in a wheelchair, but it was nice because we took the Salmon trail, literally just a few more steps and not as hectic. Perfect amount of time to walk to Nugget Falls and enjoy the sights.

3.00It was fine but there isn't much of a tour. The glacier is nice and nugget falls is pretty but the price just to get there was a lot in my opinion. A little bit of information about Juneau from the driver but just average

5.00There is a lot of walking but not too steep compared to some other areas. You’re not walking on the glacier but still get a lot of beautiful views from different directions. Plenty of time to see everything. Driver was very knowledgeable. There was a little confusion because we didn’t book this excursion with the cruise line. For clarity, you have to take a shuttle into town and THEN get on the excursion bus. Unlike some other excursions, you do not leave from the port.
