What To Expect
Messina
Get ready for an unforgettable experience! Our tour will start from Messina, the ancient "gateway to Sicily", where history and modernity, legends and traditions, resilience and beauty come together. After our meeting, along the panoramic road that runs along the port in the shape of a sickle, you will be able to admire the statue of the Madonna della Lettera, patron saint of Messina that welcomes anyone arriving from the sea. From here will begin our tour to two jewels of our territory: Castelmola and Taormina.
Castelmola
Our first stop will be the charming medieval village of Castelmola, perched on a hill overlooking the landscape! Castelmola, which was once the site of an ancient Norman castle, is now known to host one of the most particular bars in the world: the Bar Turrisi! An authentic Sicilian landmark known for its unique furnishings. Here we will take a break to explore the cultural significance of the iconic phallic shapes used as bar decorations. Far from being vulgar, they are a vivid tribute to ancient Greek culture, symbolising the very essence of freedom, fertility and life. This is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of the famous almond wine along with delicious Sicilian cannoli.

5.00I would highly recommend this tour! We had a very enjoyable time, Hana was outstanding and fun and Fluvio is hands down the best driver on the island! They were very good at communicating with us before and after our tour and also were very helpful in suggestions for our next stop on our itinerary.

5.00Marisa and Fulvio picked us up at the Catania cruise port and took us on a really fun adventure as we explored Catania, Taormina, and Castelmora. Marisa was funny and knowledgeable and kept us smiling and laughing all day. Fulvio safely navigated the busy roads and got us safely to each spot.
