Get ready for an unforgettable experience! Our tour will start from Messina, the ancient "gateway to Sicily", where history and modernity, legends and traditions, resilience and beauty come together. After our meeting, along the panoramic road that runs along the port in the shape of a sickle, you will be able to admire the statue of the Madonna della Lettera, patron saint of Messina that welcomes anyone arriving from the sea. From here will begin our tour to two jewels of our territory: Castelmola and Taormina.
Castelmola
Our first stop will be the charming medieval village of Castelmola, perched on a hill overlooking the landscape! Castelmola, which was once the site of an ancient Norman castle, is now known to host one of the most particular bars in the world: the Bar Turrisi! An authentic Sicilian landmark known for its unique furnishings. Here we will take a break to explore the cultural significance of the iconic phallic shapes used as bar decorations. Far from being vulgar, they are a vivid tribute to ancient Greek culture, symbolising the very essence of freedom, fertility and life. This is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of the famous almond wine along with delicious Sicilian cannoli.

5.00Marisa from Booking Sicily Yours was absolutely amazing. The pick up from our cruise ship was seamless. Right there at the end of the pier. Communication was also excellent. We got on a very spacious air conditioned van. Marisa brought us to Castelmola as our first stop with views of the smoking Mountain Etna. So cool. We went to a very “unique” bar where we tasted cannolis and “shots.” The views were amazing but be prepared to walk up hills and steps to get there. We then headed to Taormina which had amazing shopping and even better restaurants. We had plenty of time there. Marisa gave us a lot of information, made sure we were all comfortable, always made sure she did what the group wanted and even gave us a little keepsake at the end of the trip. We were back to the ship in plenty of time. What a great day in Sicily. We would recommend this trip to anyone (as long as you are good with a lot of walking).

5.00Can not recommend Alessandro enough! He was a 10 out of 10! Was so knowledgeable and accommodating. Had great recommendations and treated our entire group like family. Alessandro was the best guide of our trip and will book again next time we are in Messina ,

5.00We booked our trip after seeing great reviews for Alessandro. They were not wrong ..from start to finish he and Marisa were excellent. My mother needs a wheelchair to get around and they insisted on pushing her and took their time with her. Marisa was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts and history but more than that she was so lovely and it was so easy to get on with her. I cannot say enough good things about them both and would thoroughly recommend anyone to book with them.

They took the time to know everything we wanted to do and see, including shopping, sites, pictures, food, wine recommendations were out of this world.this made it so much more efficient and personalized. Pari, is so refreshing, informative, and truly goes the extra mile aiming to please and make this the best experience. Fulvio was an excellent driver each stop was on time, precise, and easily transitioned. Highly recommend this team. Alessandro booked this tour for us months ago and has assisted us with other drivers at different ports.. this is the best resource, wealth of information and exciting team we have had the pleasure of working with. 5.00We had a great time on this tour. Marisa and Alessandro were the best tour guides through my travel experience. Marisa gave lots of information on places we visited. They went out of their way to show us the beauty of Messina. I will definitely look her up if i visit Sicily again.

5.00Marisa from Booking Sicily Yours was absolutely amazing. The pick up was so easy. Right after we exited the ship. We got on a very spacious air conditioned bus. Marisa brought us to Castelmola first with views of Mount Edna. So cool. We went to a really cool bar and saw amazing views. Then headed to Taormina which had amazing shopping and even better restaurants! We had plenty of time on our own which was great. Marisa gave us lots of information, made sure we were all comfortable, always made sure we were doing what we wanted and even gave us a cute little momento when our trip was done. What a great day in Sicily. We would truly recommend this tour to anyone.

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful day with Booking Sicily Tours! We docked at the port of Catania, and from start to finish, the experience was fantastic. Our private van was very comfortable, and Alessandro and Marisa set a perfect, accommodating pace for our multigenerational family that included grandparents, parents, and kids. 5.00We did the tour today from Messina port. Our driver Fulvio and guide Paris were already there waiting for us when we got off the ship this morning. Tour began right away with brifing the places we are located, and where we are going. They even offered us cold spring water during the tour. Paris is professional, had great services. Fulvio is a great and polite driver . Tour was well planned and timing is perfect! I definitely recommend this private tour!

5.00Alessandro was easy to book and communicate with prior to the tour. Super friendly and thoughtful. His cousin Marisa was our guide and she was so much fun, easy to talk to, and gave us lots of history and information about Taormina and Castelmola. Charming towns you do not want to miss while in Sicily.
