My wife and I had a wonderful culinary experience with Mariana at Geraldine's stunning home in the lovely San Angel area. Mariana took us through the local food market where we picked up a few items then went back to the home to prepare lunch and dine together -- all the while learning about our hosts and the area. The food and the entire experience was great. Highly recommend.

What an informative and fun class! Geraldine and Marianna were kind, warm, funny and so knowledgeable. They graciously shared Mexican culinary (& cultural) history with us while we strolled to their local market and introduced us to many local delicacies. A final stop at their neighborhood panaderia was (literally!) icing on the cake. Then the real fun began…rolling up our sleeves and donning aprons to make salsa and sopes while learning more about Mexican ingredients and their seasons. Our class was capped off with a delicious lunch in the garden. A memorable day, indeed!

We had a great experience with Mariana and Geraldine. They welcomed us to their beautiful home in San Angel and we had an informative tour of the local Mercado before returning to their place to cook and eat the meal. They shared lots of insights about Mexican history and cuisine, and the meal was delicious!

Mariana, Geraldine and assistants were welcoming and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately we arrived late due to traffic and didn't have time to do the market tour. However, We enjoyed learning about and helping to make the traditional salsa, sopes, rice and cochinita pibal. the best part was enjoining the meal together outside and chatting about Mexican culture and our travels. Everything was delicious and capped off with Geraldine's extraordinaryl flan.

Mariana is exceptionally friendly, with a thorough knowledge of Mexican cuisine, and excellent explanation skills (in English!). Geraldine's home and the nearby plaza are stunning and a delight to visit. We had difficulty finding the correct door, and Mariana walked the neighborhood to find us. Beyond the call of duty! Our dinner conversation was terrific, and informative. Her kitchen helpers were very nice and very thoughtful. A truly unique and worthwhile experience.

What a fun experience! We took the market tour and cooking class and had a blast! Geraldine has an absolutely beautiful home where we learned to make salsa, rice, pibil, and sopes. After meeting at the house, we walked to the market where we learned about different vendors, products, and ingredients. We then returned to the house, prepared our meal, and enjoyed a really lovely lunch in the garden. Mariana and Geraldine were very accommodating to my picky family, which was greatly appreciated! We also picked their brains for restaurant and site-seeing recommendations and they were happy to oblige. Overall this was a great family experience and I am so glad we booked! Mariana and Geraldine are absolutely lovely, knowledgeable, and entertaining. This was a perfect break from all of the more traditional tourist experiences! Highly recommend!

Mariana and Geraldine hosted us for an amazing night, and we would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to learn a bit more about Mexican cuisine or even just for a fun night of good food and good company! Mariana provided a ton of historical and cultural knowledge as they took us around the market. To have a local show you around immerses you in a way that just isn't otherwise possible (be sure to stop at the tortilla stand for the best fresh off the press tortilla you will ever eat)! We were then welcomed into Geraldine's home and kitchen, taught to make several unique authentic Mexican dishes, and sat down for a lovely meal with two very talented and interesting hosts! All in all, would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence about this experience. Be sure to give yourself time to travel to their place, as it is a bit out of the main touristy parts of the city.

We had a great experience with Mariana and Geraldine. They were very nice and professional. It was fun walking through town and the market, as well as learning a little history of San Angel. The house where we cooked in was absolutely beautiful! The actual cooking experience was also a lot of fun. Definitely a more laid back experience as if you were cooking with family or friends. We helped create a simple, but delicious meal! You can tailor your meal to your preferences. It was very interesting learning about Mariana and Geraldine's cooking background. I would highly recommend checking out, and ask them go through their cooking book(s). Overall, just a very nice and chill evening.
