Day 1 – Travel & First Taste of Safari Early 7:00 AM ferry from Zanzibar → Dar es Salaam (1h 20m) → quick drive to SGR station → scenic 1: 30-hour train ride to Morogoro → 1-hour drive into Mikumi. Arrive for lunch, then jump straight into a relaxed 4-hour afternoon game drive (lions, elephants, giraffes in golden light). Sundowner & dinner at camp. Perfect gentle introduction after a morning of travel.

Day 2 – Full Safari + Maasai Evening Wake at dawn for coffee, then spend almost the entire day inside the park (6–7 hours game drive). Morning is best for predators, midday picnic under acacia trees, afternoon for hippos & birds. Return to camp just in time to freshen up, then short drive to a real Maasai village: watch jumping dance, chat with warriors & women, buy direct handicrafts. Back to camp for fire lit dinner and stargazing. The fullest “safari day” possible.

Mikumi National Park
Day 3 – Easy Return to Zanzibar Light early breakfast, leave camp 06:00 → Morogoro station → morning SGR train back to Dar (arrive ~09:30) → short taxi to port → 10:30 ferry → back in Stone Town before noon. You’ll be on the beach drinking coconut water by lunch with two days of safari memories still fresh. Short, smooth, maximum wildlife & culture, zero wasted time.

5.00One of the best experiences of our trip to Tanzania / Zanzibar The organization was impeccable from the beginning. Pick up at our hotel in Zanzibar, transfer to the ferry, train ride and transportation to Mikumi National Park were perfectly coordinated. Our coordinator Jackson was always on the lookout for everything, managing every detail and making sure everything worked stress-free for us. The visit to Masai village was a very special experience. We were able to spend several hours with them, get to know their culture, their traditions and their way of life. They welcomed us very warmly and shared with us many of their knowledge about nature and its surroundings. The open jeep safari was simply spectacular. Our guides Nuhu and Shine were exceptional: very professional, attentive and very knowledgeable about animals. Thanks to them we learned to recognize males and females, understand their behavior and appreciate much more each encounter with fauna. Seeing elephants, giraffes, zebras and many other species so close was unforgettable. The accommodation was also fantastic: cabins in the middle of nature, very comfortable, with air conditioning and all the necessary facilities to rest after the safari. The meals were included and were delicious. An authentic experience, very well organized and highly recommended.

5.00Guide and driver perfect with care. You can go with your eyes closed. Quality price for low budget is perfect a good compromise.
