If you intend to visit Milan, a must is undoubtedly Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. The great work of the Tuscan genius, preserved in the refectory next to the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, is one of the most studied and imitated masterpieces in the world, but also one of the most mysterious and discussed. Follow us on this guided tour, discovering the history and secrets behind the Last Supper and the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie. During our guided tour of the Upper Room you will understand how every stroke, every detail, every brushstroke, every expression and gesture of the figures represented tells those “motions of the soul” of which Leonardo became the first inventor. And the Last Supper is sublimated from perfect painting to emotional narration.

This was a truly wonderful experience and one of the highlights of our time in Milan! The tour was very well organized from start to finish, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable, sharing fascinating facts about both the church and Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper. Seeing the painting in person is something everyone should experience at least once, photos simply do not compare!! The church itself is beautiful and peaceful, and we loved that we were able to walk back inside afterward and take time to enjoy it. Everything was memorable. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely do this tour again. 10/10 — highly recommend!

I had Maria as a tour guide and let me just say she is the best tour guide I’ve had EVER! She is incredibly passionate about art and really knows her stuff. She was so nice and I cannot recommend her enough! She takes you into the church first and talks to you about not only why it was build but how it was built as well. After that we saw the last supper and the crucifixion which is quite surreal in person. While you’re in there we were required to wear ear pieces while Maria talked to us through it and boy was that pretty awesome because as I was looking at each painting I asked questions to myself that Maria would coincidentally answer. I think my favorite part was how she described each apostle in the painting… explaining their body language, facial expressions, beliefs, and even their clothing. If you want to see the last supper book this one and if you’re able to request Maria, please do it!!

Although the fee was a bit expensive, the guide was very good, and I was glad that I could still see the Last Supper even though the official tickets were sold out.
