Skip the line at Milan’s Duomo! This Super Saver package includes a guided tour in English or Spanish, elevator access to the rooftop, and stunning city views—an experience that will enrich your visit to Milan.

The Duomo, an iconic landmark built across six centuries, is among the four largest cathedrals in Europe.

During the two-hour guided tour, you’ll explore the cathedral’s artistic and architectural highlights and learn how its development connects with Milan’s history. Admire its Gothic details, along with numerous paintings and statues. Your guide will share legends linked to the Duomo and reveal pagan elements such as zodiac symbols.

You’ll also visit the underground crypt beneath the altar, where Archbishop Carlo Borromeo’s centuries-old tomb rests. Then ride the lift to the rooftop for panoramic views of the city. Optionally, add a 2-day Open Bus ticket to continue exploring Milan.

Not wheelchair accessible for the Rooftoops of the Duomo Cathedral

A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women.

It is FORBIDDEN to introduce inside Duomo food, liquids, knifes, ceramic mugs and everything that can be used as blunt weapon.

Kindly consider that after the elevator, there are around 75 stairs in order to reach the top of the Cathedral, and back down at the end of the tour

On hot days, we recommend wearing a hat, applying sunscreen, and bringing a bottle of water to stay protected and hydrated during the tour.

If you selected the Open Bus Ticket, please show your voucher at the bus stop in Piazza Duomo, in front of the taxi stand. Look for the MILAN OPEN TOUR bus.

The Spanish Tour Option is available from April 1st to October 31st at 10:00am

I’ve been wanting to climb the rooftop since I saw the Duomo di Milano many years ago in TV! So, this was a dream come true for me. What I liked: Plenty of time for photos from the rooftop. Small anecdotes that I would not find on my own (Abe Lincoln hidden as a figure!?) Storytelling from the guide on how the Duomo is constantly repaired and revamped. References to the older photos of the city. A tour guide with a sense of fun! What could be improved: Better check in process at the meeting point. Better communication about the flights of stairs that we’ll be climbing up and down. I had my mother-in-law with me (late 60s, in great health) and noticed that she could have used the warning. A lot of biblical references, so some stories may have been lost for people from non-Judeo-Christian backgrounds. (I found myself explaining some things to others in my group as some were lost!) Recommendation for visitors: Go see the Last Supper before this tour because that will tie the experience in Milan together.

I enjoyed this tour with Barbara! The tour lasted around two hours. There were many details to learn about the Duomo Cathedral which I thought Barbara explained clearly. My favorite part of the tour was going up to the rooftop around sunset! The tour started around 2 pm, so once we finished discussing the inside of the Duomo, we went to the roof to see the gorgeous views and learned more about the history of Milan.

This was a fantastic experience for us. This cathedral is majestic and we learned a lot about its construction, architecture, as well as the religious history of Milan. Our guide Carmen was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He shared so much information with us and was happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend this tour. It’s a landmark that should not be missed.

Pre-set tickets made it so easy. Just go to entrance and they will tell you meeting place. Rooftop was one hr of two hr tour. Very unique
