The Duomo, an iconic landmark built across six centuries, is among the four largest cathedrals in Europe.
During the two-hour guided tour, you’ll explore the cathedral’s artistic and architectural highlights and learn how its development connects with Milan’s history. Admire its Gothic details, along with numerous paintings and statues. Your guide will share legends linked to the Duomo and reveal pagan elements such as zodiac symbols.
You’ll also visit the underground crypt beneath the altar, where Archbishop Carlo Borromeo’s centuries-old tomb rests. Then ride the lift to the rooftop for panoramic views of the city. Optionally, add a 2-day Open Bus ticket to continue exploring Milan.

Very informative and interesting. The rooftop was amazing for the views and the incredible detail of the cathedral! For any with mobility issues you would not be able to do the rooftop.

My husband and I were very happy and lucky with our tour guide. She was knowledgeable, and we learned a lot from her. The Duomo of Milan is a miracle that needs to be visited by every human being.

Best tour of all in Milan! My kids said the rooftop made it all worth it! The view is incredible! Just don't do it without proper wind gear or if you have any fear of heights. You can see the skyline of Milan and the Alps! Definitely a must do if you go to the Duomo.

Carmine has extensive knowledge of the Doumo accompanied by a charming sense of humor. He welcomed as many questions as you could ask, and provided time to take a look around on your own. Take the tour with Carmine if you have the opportunity!

It was fine, not exceptional. It was our first time visiting so I felt a tour was necessary but you can probably save money by doing it yourself and buying an audio guide once inside. I think you can also get tickets to the rooftop if you want, separately. The line wasn’t long to get in (there actually was no line), so the “skip the line” wasn’t worth it. I suppose it depends on when you go, so just do your research. Our guide was friendly but spoke very fast, so it was hard to follow along and understand the history. I would just do it on my own if I were to go again. Very high price for this tour.
