As a traveler, you probably want to know what is so special about Milestii Mici. It is a winery in Moldova, with the enormous underground storage facility. Mileștii Mici holds almost two million bottles, earning recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest wine collection. Every “street” carries the name of a certain grape like Pinot or Cabernet Sauvignon. Visitors slowly drive cars or bikes through the maze, where normal traffic rules apply. Moldova’s Mileștii Mici proudly claims the title as the largest wine cellar in the world.

The tour was very wonderful. The guide presented everything well and it was fascinating to learn all about it. It was very convenient that hotel pick up was provided; hospitality was very high-level. My mom and sister who came with me enjoyed it very much too, made for a good family outing.

The whole experience was amazing. After booking, the tour company emailed us to inquire if we were okay adding one person to our tour. My husband and I did not mind and so three of us completed the tour. The tour guide was prompt to pick us up (even early!) and headed off to the winery. Viktor was very informative about the area and his love for his country was genuine. Upon our arrival to the winery, he let us out to use the toilets and shop at the souvenir shop if we chose to do so before our tour started at 10AM. Once the tour started, he drove us through the underground winery streets and explained some finer details of the winery. At certain points, we would get out of the cars and listen to a winery tour guide. At the end, we met at the tasting room were we tried 3 different wines (red, white, and sweet rose). We also were provided some tasty traditional Moldovan snacks to eat while we tried the wines. During our tasting, we were serenaded with some lovely folk music. This winery was my favorite part of Moldova.
