The coach driver Bruce was great - informative and friendly. The scenery was stunning. BIG WARNING Do not buy the prepaid picnic lunch box. Extremely overpriced, stale and very disappointing. $38 NZD for a small, dry sandwich, a puff pastry with unknown contents, stale chips, a cake and an apple. In a word - dreadful. Bring your own food or buy at the marina.

Brian , our coach driver was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the sights we saw. He had a good sense of humour….very important to us Aussies! Felt very safe with his driving. The Milford sound boat trip was terrific. However, the food was poor. The rolls were stale and there wasn’t a lot of choice. We would highly recommend your company . Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Very organized. Clean, spacious bus with informative driver. The driver gave us lots of great information and stories about the entire area and the history. The scenery is some of the best I’ve ever seen and I have travelled a lot. If you love mountains, do not miss this experience, every minute was visually stunning. Things I would change if I could: slow everything down and personalize the experience more. The vibe of the tour is very much like slam the tourists in and out of there quickly like cattle. The bus flies very fast, keeps us moving quickly - slightly impersonal vibe. I would LOVE it if the tourists would take less selfies and be on their phones less of the time. It feels like everyone is there solely to take thousands of selfies and photos rather than experience this glorious place and their fellow travelers in the moment. If there was more friendly interactions among tourists. If We saw more dolphins and seals. And I could not the hear the captain of the boat while Cruising around — more info about the geology of the land

I had an awesome experience with Real NZ for my Milford Sound Tour! First, the coach was amazing, it's clean and it provides comfort to every passenger. I love the fact that it has glass roof so we had nicer views! Shout out to the Coach Driver, Paulie! He's great and lively, I honestly learned a lot from his 'podcast' while on the road. I was surprised when I saw the Mariner because it was my first time riding a ship like that! It's beautiful and classic. So much space even if there's a lot of people onboard. There is also a gentleman who shares informative stuff while we are cruising along Milford Sound/Fjord. Everyone are so friendly and welcoming. Overall, I loved the experience and will definitely go for it again, probably on another season! :)

I had an absolutely fantastic tour to Milford Sound thanks to our incredible driver/guide, Deanne Loader. Our morning pick ups were well organised, and Deanne instantly made us feel welcome for the long journey to Milford. We were impressed by the depth of knowledge she shared throughout the day. For us, it was as if she were a historian, geologist, conservationist, and proud Kiwi all in one! At the same time, she was a superb driver, calm while driving and managing people through the day and we felt comfortable and safe for the entire journey with RealNZ. We have been on many tours around the world, and Deanne is easily the best guide we have ever experienced. When we arrived in Milford, we realised the journey there was only part of the experience. We loved the cruise on the fjord—the crew were friendly, and we’ll carry the memories from this trip with us for a lifetime. Deanne also explained RealNZ’s contributions to conservation, which made us feel confident that we chose the right company for this tour, highly recommend booking with Real NZ and request Deanne!

Cruise and lunch with solo company from UK. Was originally told it was a buffet lunch but was seated in front of a massive plastic box. It contained a bread roll with cheese and some sort of manufactured meat and absolutely smothered with a very strong smelling sweet chuntney, something I cannot eat. A sort of savory cake/flan I had no idea what it was but it was inedible. Something that resembled crisps but were rock solid, not wanting to damage teeth I avoided them. An apple and a cake with some sort of topping, I believe it was carrot cake. I did tell our group manager I couldnt eat anything apart from the apple. I was then given what I thought was a cheese, tomato and lettuce bagel - it was babybel tasteless cheese, 2 thin slices of tomato and it was smothered in pesto! Cant eat pesto due to reflux same as chutney! I ended up hungry, I was really looking forward to this excursion but it was underwhelming. The other 'guests' were shouting over the commentary so couldnt hear what was said. The shoveing and pushing from disorganised groups was off putting. I would warn people if they said they were going on this trip. Maybe tell people what is in the lunch box or at least have any 'sauces or chutneys' seperate so you can decide whether to add them or not. Shame it was spoilt

Extraordinary visit with a top guide. Bus was comfortable, the ride was delightful with all the interesting and relevant commentaries (totally recommend our guide Deanne), the views on the way are half the experience, the boat was panoramic and being in Fiordsland just blew our minds.

We booked the overnight trip to Milford Sounds on the Milford Mariner. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip but there was a change to our itinerary due to a “technical issue” with the boat which meant the tour of the fiord was on a different vessel and the overnight stay was in the dock instead of being moored out in the fiord - this is the reason it’s not a 5 star rating. It’s a very long coach ride but the experience is worth it and our journey was great due our driver/guide Paulie Potatoes, he is amazing at his job, great driver, felt safe in his hands and his commentary was great, he is very knowledgeable, interesting and has entertaining anecdotes, cannot praise him enough! The views on the boat tour are absolutely amazing, the food and service on the boat was great and we slept well in our cabin. We opted to return back to Queenstown in a light aircraft (at extra cost) which was an amazing experience and much quicker than the coach!

This was a magical experience. The stunning views of Milford Sound and its many waterfalls and cascades are not to be missed. The RealNZ boat was excellent and provided a box lunch for an extra fee, or you could purchase food on board. The RealNZ staff were excellent, and the guide was very knowledgeable and provided very interesting information during the 2-hour cruise. We even got to see dolphins and seals! Spectacular!

To be honest I thought this experience a total waste of money. Crammed onto a bus with 50 others. A very brief stop at Mirror Lakes which lasted less than 3 minutes then we had a whole 4 minutes at Knobs Flat. We then had to sit on the wharf for 15 minutes before we were let onto the boat. The boat started and the smell of old/used oil from the deep fryer wafted about the boat and quite frankly was disgusting/nauseating. Then 200 people spent the cruise jostling for position on the tiny viewing platform. Sorry but was not impressed. The scenery however was spectacular.
