We were staying in Queenstown, but because we hired a car for our trip around New Zealand, we decided to book this experience from Te Anau instead. This was to make the most of the hired car and reduce the cost a little bit. And driving around NZ is a wonderful experience in itself. We had stunning weather which was a bonus. The drive from Te Anau to Milford sound was just as stunning as the cruise. Our driver/Guide Levi was an excellent source of information. Despite being Australian, he was very knowledgeable about the area and passionate about New Zealand in general. We learnt so much during the trip thanks to Levi. And being a nervous passenger on bus rides through winding terrain, I was very confident in his driving skills! I highly recommend this tour with Real NZ, especially with Levi.

Our cruise onboard Milford Haven will be remembered as one of the best experiences during our three week trip of the South Island. We were very lucky to have a crystal clear day. Milford Sound is such a special place and Brendan provided fantastic commentary. The drive into Milford from Te Anau is jaw dropping in its scale and beauty. Not to be missed.

Absolutely brilliant!! Our bus driver Dean was great and very informative. We were very lucky with the weather, the waterfalls were amazing and there was even snow on the mountains. Would highly recommend the whole trip was incredible, best day ever !!

We had a fantastic trip to Milford Sound with our excellent tour guide, Levi. We weren’t expecting much with regards to the coach, but it was very comfortable and spacious with great views visible through the glass roof. We stopped along several times at breathtaking viewpoints. Levi had an exceptional breadth of knowledge spanning history, geology, ecology and his knowledge and enthusiasm certainly made the trip for us. His passion for the area and his job was evident and he taught us so many interesting facts which would not be possible just driving by yourself. He even bought us some sweets/lollies for the way home. It’s a long journey but worth it for the stunning scenery. Note there is no toilet on board the coach however frequent stops are made. Thanks again Levi!

We just returned from Milford Sound cruise today 10th December. A very early start with coach ride starting at 7.30am. Our driver was Levi from Australia. Levi made the trip a pleasure from beginning to end. He was pleasant, full of information about the landscape and our surroundings along the way. We stopped for food etc and he ensured we were back on board in time. He even provided us with Minties sweets on our way home, what a pet. Oh and the cruise - it was absolutely amazing, scenery breathtaking! Thank you RealNZ and hang on to Levi, he is a real find.
