It’s always hard to know which tour to choose from when you are not local but we are glad that we went with RealNZ from Te Anau. The staff were very helpful and Maz was a friendly and expert coach driver, with excellent information and anecdotes about the area. We were a bit put off by the commercialised and busy dock at Milford Sound but once the boat set sail, all that was left behind and, thanks in part to an insightful, interesting and informative commentary by Brendan, we had a marvellous trip. We thoroughly recommend RealNZ and would have no hesitation about going on a tour with them again.

Make sure to take insect repellant! Parking is $10/hour. I liked the way the captain made sure everyone got to see all the special features by manoeuvring the boat around. Plenty of room on the boat (Haven) and not too crowded. The commentary could have been clearer as I found it hard to hear due to background noise.

Coach trip was excellent - driver very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there was no gluten free food available (except for crisps) or much food at all for that matter on the boat trip. We were not aware that we could have pre-ordered our lunch as our travel agent did not let us know this.

A great journey. Dry and sunny when we done it. No rain for a while so waterfalls weren't as dramatic as they sometimes are. But that's nature.

I booked the Real NZ Milford Sound Coach Cruise tour from Queenstown for myself, my husband and my mom. I was assisted with last minute booking and even had a taxi organised from our accommodation. The check in process at the Visitor Center was smooth and we were allocated to Barouch’s coach (I am not sure I spelled it right). Barouch, who is our driver and guide for the day was very entertaining with his trivia and knowledgeable. I enjoyed his commentaries and he makes sure he gives clear instructions on every stop along the way. The bus itself is not too crowded, with glass roofing and big windows. The seats are comfortable. I enjoyed every part of the scenic tour, my mom loved every part of it. Highly recommend this tour company and the tour itself. ☺️

Had an exceptional visit to see the Milford Sound today. All started with a timely hotel pickup in Queenstown in a very comfortable and spacious coach. The drive from Queenstown, although long, passed pretty quickly due to the enthusiasm, the shared depth and breadth of knowledge of our tour guide, Hygi from RealNZ. He also ensured we were well briefed from a safety point of view, found a number of excellent stop off points, and we got some great pictures as a result. Very pleased with the time on the Milford Sound as well. Fantastic waterfalls, fur seals and a very tasty buffet lunch, lots of room of the boat, the Sovereign, and good narrative from the captain. All in all I’d give it a 9.5, the distance from Queenstown stopped it from being a 10.

It was good scenery but very crowded. The waterfalls were great but actually I would do the drive and a hike

Milford Sound Cruise and Coach was an amazing experience. It was the right decision not to drive going there and the coach option was better to enjoy the scenery. I have been living in New Zealand for 14 years but I learned new things from the highly informative commentary from Grant our host tour driver. Trip was really pleasant and relax journey. Thank you Grant! 🙂
