  Very good experience. The blue cave it’s amazing. Borna was the guy who take us to the cave and he is amazing, he has a very good vibe.

  I have now been to Vis now 3 times, and each time I have treated myself to a trip through Paiz Travel – and I return again and again with good reason! This time it was on a military Jeep adventure in May 2025, guided by the incomparable Tony and his charming dog Benny. And let me just say it like it is: it was not just a trip – it was an experience. Tony is a true storyteller. He listens, adapts, and manages to make even the most complicated military facts both exciting and entertaining. We went around in the jeep to hidden bunkers, old bases and viewpoints etc. that blew our legs away – and all the way we were followed by Benny's wagging enthusiasm and big personality in a little flying dog body. It was geeky in a cool way, but also fun, relaxed and down to earth – just the way We like it. Tony created the perfect balance between serious storytelling and laughter in the sun – and Benny? He stole the show several times! We really recommend this cool Duo So yes – 3rd time with Paiz Travel, and 3rd time I am 100% satisfied. Paiz travel and their staff just know how to make unforgettable day trips on Vis. Can only say: see you again, Paiz Travel! Best regards from Pernille & Thomas Copenhagen, Denmark

  Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Guides Chris and Borna were very engaging and informative. Loved the walking tour through the military tunnels, and the scenic drive through the countryside to the top of the mountain offered spectacular views! Both guides were extremely knowledgeable and made the tour lively and entertaining.

  We booked two separate tours with Paiz Travel - the military tour and the boat tour (6 hours). I would really highly recommend both of these, which were excellent! All our guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and we felt that they really cared about our experience and making it as enjoyable as can be. Our military tour guide was a history teacher so added a layer of knowledge and context to the tour, and it very much felt like an adventure as well as interesting and historical! Our boat tour skipper was equally helpful and knowledgeable - we were lucky enough to get a tour after days of poor weather and high winds had cancelled others. the sea was rockier than expected and our skipper strived to keep the tour going, was flexible and obviously kept our safety in mind. all the team were really helpful and friendly, thanks to all of you!

  We did the Military tour and enjoyed it thoroughly! Our guide Kristijan was very laid back and full of knowledge as well as local anecdotes and gave us an insight into the island's unique and interesting history. The tour takes you to a couple of different locations (including the highest peak of the island - beautiful view!) and is a very good way to actually see most of the island itself while learning about its history. Thank you Kristijan for an excellent tour!

  Very good military tour by Kristijan. A bonus that the minimum for them to run the tour is just 2 people, for a very reasonable price, as a lot of the other agencies in Vis town require a minimum of 4, and charge more. Kristijan has a good sense of humour and really knows his subject, so it was a very enjoyable 3 hours. In addition to sensible footwear, I’d recommend bringing your own torch for this tour (although a head-torch is provided) as quite a bit of the time is spent in the tunnels (which are fascinating). The inclusion of being taken up to Fort George and Mount Hum, with their lovely views, were welcome breaks from being underground. Can definitely recommend this tour. Not only that but you can also exchange your currency (and books) at Paiz and all the staff are super-helpful and friendly. Tessa & Steve

  Our guide Kristjan is the best history guide one could wish for. There’s much history to see on the island Vis and if one wishes to learn about it we would warmly recommend taking the tour with Kristjan and his Nissan!

  Fascinating insight into the history of this beautiful island. Kristijan, who is history professor, was perfect, knowledgeable tour guide - lots of stories and unusual facts. He told us everything we needed to know and had answer for everything we asked. It was fun and very informative jeep ride that lasted more than 3 hours. Among other things, we visited underground tunnels and the highest peak of the island with a breathtaking view! I highly recommend this excursion to everyone.
