Speaking of Miyazaki's local cuisine, it's cold. And chicken nanban. Chilled miso soup is a traditional home-cooked meal usually eaten at homes around Miyazaki City. During the hot summer months, when you have no appetite, your mother will make it. There are various ways of making it depending on each home and area, but you can make a basic cold soup using sesame seeds. While holding a mortar and chatteringly, I will rub the gori goori and the girl. Chicken Nanjo is a relatively new dish that was born in Nobeoka City, but now it is the soul food of Miyazaki prefectures. It is offered at many restaurants in Miyazaki, but it is also fun to make it yourself. We make these two items in about 2 hours.

What To Expect

Chilled miso soup and chicken Noodles, which are local dishes from Miyazaki Prefecture, and soul food. Chilled miso soup is a souvenir shop, and there are pack products, but it is delicious above all. It's surprisingly easy, and it's fun to make it with people. I can also arrange imadoki style. By the way, in Miyazaki Prefecture, how to make is slightly different depending on the area and home. When people eat Miyazaki prefecture outside of the prefecture, what is different in Chicken Nanjo comes out and is stunned. In this experience menu, you will make a chicken nanban like Miyazaki.

I participated alone this time ♪ We chatted happily and learned how to make Miyazaki's local dish "cold soup"! It was the opposite of the formal atmosphere of the cooking class, it was a very homey atmosphere, it was very fun (^^) Smashing sesame seeds in a mortar was a good way to release stress! 自分の生まれ育った、宮崎の郷土料理を、自分で作れるようになったことが嬉しかったし、誇らしかったです！料理教室後に、家族に作ってあげられるくらい、簡単で再現のしやすい料理の仕方を分かりやすく教えていただきました！！終始笑顔溢れる楽しい教室でした！！ I’m so glad and to learn how to cook local food in my hometown , Miyazaki. After the lesson, I cooked that for my family, then they enjoyed my meal and also listening to my experience in the lesson. I could cook by myself after the lesson because teacher taught me so kindly and the lesson was not too difficult. I had a wonderful time cooking and also talking with teacher and her family ... I'm a 4th grade boy. My friend invited me. The teacher's shower of English conversation was stimulating because I usually just study English in a public letter. He explained it to me many times in easy to understand English, so I could understand! I even had a lot of fun cooking! I want to participate again. It's a great classroom! Recommended.

My fourth grade daughter joined with her friends. I had the opportunity to join with a friend. Although I lived in Miyazaki until a year and a half ago, I had never made Miyazaki's local dishes from scratch, and I was very happy that I was able to make my own cold soup and chicken nanban. Now I live in Kansai, so I can eat Miyazaki food and feel like I'm in Miyazaki while in Kansai. As others have written, I am happy that the ingredients and quantity are simple so it is easy to remember. In addition, he taught me not only how to have fun and chat while cooking, but also how to arrange recipes, which I learned a lot. The atmosphere of the house, which is calm and surrounded by nature, is good and I would like to go again!

We had the experience with 6 people from the evening of July 31, 2019. My two daughters also helped me wash dishes and taught me how to cook very skillfully. The recipe was also easy, and I was able to memorize the keywords in a one-on-one way. We all ate what was ready, but each cold soup tasted slightly different, but all of it was delicious.
