What To Expect

Nungwi

This tour mainly focuses on Cultural village visit of the Nungwi Village, sightseeing and free time to relax at the white sand beach of the north. The village is located in the northern part of Zanzibar Island. This cultural tour will give you the opportunity to experience the lifestyle in which people of Nungwi village are living, experiencing the local community’s economic activities, visiting local houses which are smeared. You can also see the fish market is in full swing.

Baraka Natural Aquarium - Nungwi

Again number of very interesting things to see and do including, the natural aquarium in which is a home endangered sea turtles and a variety of fish. The aquarium itself is a natural formation carved out from the coral bedrock by the erosion of millions of waves crashing against the shore. The depth of the water rises and falls with the tides providing a natural environment for its inhabitants. You might also wonder to see how the local boats are made, how the fishnets and sails are repaired. Lunch and refreshments are arranged there to taste local delicacies or international food. This is the best trip that gives you the scope to discover the life of local fishermen of the island. After the walk, you can either relax on the sandy beaches or go swimming in the natural sea.

The Mnemba Island and Nungwi tour is highly recommended if you want to spend a beautiful day in the water and under the sun. We were lucky enough to see dolphins and spend time on a stunning sandbank. In addition, we went snorkeling, where we could see colorful fish and corals. What made the tour especially enjoyable was the flexibility — we could decide ourselves how long we wanted to stay at each spot. Said was very accommodating and adapted the tour to our preferences, depending on what we wanted to do most.

Khator was our driver and guide. He was punctual, knowledgable and an excellent guide. We had a blast visiting the sites (turtles, dolphins, village) and had a great lunch at Baraka restaurant before returning to our hotel. Enjoyed the trip and it was made even better with Khator!

We learned a lot during the day from Said, and saw great places on the tour from Mnemba Island , Baraka Aquarium and several other places along the way. We used taxi services few more times, he is on time to get us quickly.
