This tour is a unique experience that provides visitors with a true cultural understanding. Our philosophy was born from our local family who wanted to give clients an exclusive excursion different than conventional tours. We aim to provide our clients with an extraordinary experience by fully immersing them in this vibrant culture. This tour begins with a walk to a hidden organic coffee farm. Here, we have the chance to meet Capuchin White Face monkeys and Howler monkeys, who are both frequent visitors to the area. After spending time at the farm, we will go towards the upper part of the mountains, passing the original central town of Monteverde. This is where the Quakers settled in the 1950s and founded the cheese factory as well as the Quaker school. We will then catch a ride back to your hotel.

Discover the heart of Costa Rican coffee on this immersive and authentic tour in the mountains of Monteverde. Walk through lush organic coffee fields while learning every step of the process—from planting and harvesting to sun-drying, roasting, and grinding. Guided by passionate local producers, this hands-on experience offers insight into traditional and sustainable coffee production. At the end, enjoy a personalized tasting of freshly brewed coffee while chatting with your hosts. After spending time at the organic coffee farm, we will go towards the upper part of the mountains, passing the original central town of Monteverde. This is where the Quakers settled in the 1950s and founded the cheese factory as well as the Quaker school. Also we will take a look at CASEM the Cooperativa de Artesanas de Santa Elena y Monteverde, established in 1982 by a group of eight women artists. It is a non-profit artisan cooperative dedicated to enhancing the economic and social well-being of local women artists. The CASEM store and workshop, situated within the heart of Monteverde, is a showcase for unique, locally produced handicrafts. These handicrafts include decorative wall hangings, ceramics, clothes, bags, jewelry, toys and wood carvings.

We could not have asked for a better experience - it was great! Justin was our guide. He was very knowledgeable, patient and wanted us to enjoy our visit to the cloud forest. We told him our biggest wish for the visit was to see the famous quetzal bird and he made our wish come true! Magical! We saw many other birds and learnt so much about the cloud forest. Thank you Justin.

We had a fantastic experience with our private guide Justen. He looked for us on time, and did not rest until he found the Quetzal!!! He taught us many things about the forest and we saw many birds! Super recommended

Andrés is a great your guide and speaks excellent English in addition to Spanish. Additionally, all his recommendations about tourist attractions and restaurants were spot on. He was always on time and friendly, I highly recommend using his company for services in Monte Verde and wherever possible in Costa Rica.

I stayed in Monteverde for a month and while there, I traveled within Monteverde and to many other cities. I used Faro Travel Costa Rica and was very pleased with the services provided as the staff were always professional, punctual, kind, friendly and helpful (especially Andres!). As I solo female traveler they helped me feel safe and also helped me book many activities/travels. I was able able to contact them at any time and would receive a quick reply, even when I would message them last minute about wanting to go somewhere/do something. I would recommend them to anyone visiting Monteverde or for anyone looking for a reliable tour company.
