EDITH! I know she already has so many positive reviews, but here is another: my husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. She taught us so much about the history and culture of Montevideo and Uruguay. She was thorough and personable and funny as well as patient and open to all kinds of questions. After seeing the buildings and plazas in the city we rode on The Rambla out to the lighthouse. She gave us the option and we chose to ride back—13 km total. Do not hesitate! We highly recommend that you book this tour!!

Total no show - no prior notice. I scheduled this tour and paid for it. I show up early and look everywhere for the tour at the designated meet location and no one‘s there. I tried to contact the local tour guide and no response. I contacted Viator and they said they had no notice of cancellation. Well…I wasted an Uber ride to the location, walking all around, looking for the place and wasted 90 minutes trying to figure this out. Turns out the local tour company that it was assigned to by Viator, never looked at the confirmed reservation. They said well the weather was going to be bad and there was going to be a storm, so they needed to cancel for safety because we would be on bicycles and we could slip.” Would have been great if somebody let me know prior to wasting all my time chasing a tour that was never to happen. Viator must have some type of confirmation system, where a local tour company they obviously sell the tour needs to acknowledge they fecieved and will be able to support/deliver on the services! I’m NOT happy and NOT using Viator again. Paul 🇺🇸

This was an amazing tour to learn the history of the city and where to travel in the city after the tour. Edith went fully out of her way to make sure that the tour was successful. If you want to know the deep history she made sure you knew it. She even offered to skip over parts if people were not interested. It was all about ensuring everyone had the absolute best experience possible. Edith pointed out architecture so you saw and can notice details that many might overlook. The tour owner, Stella, even offered to let me keep the bike longer after the tour and made special arrangements for me to drop the bike off to my hotel (or local area if at an Airbnb/local) so that I can fully enjoy my time. That was very special and not offered at other tours I have done. Edith also made sure to offer local tips when traveling the city outside the tour, not only places to go but also how to ensure I had the best time in her city as possible. She also made sure the speed of going around was the right amount for all so no one was struggling but not going too slow if you wanted to bike faster. I felt incredibly safe on the streets with her and the city is great because there are bike lanes away from cars if you dislike being near traffic. Edith always had concern for those on the tour and wanted to make sure every question was answered to the fullest extent. You get to see some of the most beautiful spots of the city that walking will not take you.

Edith is an amazing woman and guide. Very knowledgeable and willing to modify the tour to meet our needs. I would have given this experience top marks but some of the bikes are in need of replacing

Great bike tour around parts of the city and down the front. I must have been lucky as I was the only person on the tour but they still went ahead with it and it was extremely enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it so enable you to see more of the city than walking.

Really enjoyed my bike tour! It was a great way to get to know Montevideo. Edith was a great guide and she tried really hard to tailor the tour to my own interests/needs.

This bike tour was just what we were hoping for. We saw a lot of cool sites across a fairly wide area of Montevideo, and got some good exercise in the process. Our guide was amazing! She knew the area so well, born there, but good English from having lived abroad. She patiently answered our many questions and spoke loudly as some of us don't hear so well anymore. I highly recommend this tour and especially the guide Deb for anyone up for seeing the sites while getting good exercise!
