What To Expect
Ciudad Vieja
Welcome to Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay! We’ll be waiting for you at the meeting point in the Port of Montevideo to start the tour of Ciudad Vieja. Our first stop is Plaza Constitución, where we'll visit the historic Montevideo Cathedral. Stroll with us through this charming square, surrounded by antiques and pieces of Uruguayan history.
Plaza Independencia
Then, we will get back on the minivan for a brief 3-minute drive to Plaza Independencia. Alongside the guide, you will learn about iconic buildings such as the Salvo Palace, the Executive Tower, the City Gate, the Solís Theatre, and the Estevez Palace.

4.00Excellent tour to hit all the tourist spots. We had a great time with the tour. One advice was to see the mausoleum in Independence Plaza during the free time there. It only took 5 minutes.

5.00Martin was one of the best guides we ever had on any tour. Knowledgeable, great sense of humour and very friendly. Had little expectation and were rewarded by a great tour with a bonus of street performance near the old city gate. The tour was supposed to be between 3 to 4 hours, however Martin did not go by a stop watch and we had a generous 4 plus joir tour. Yellow Penguin owner Diego met us right by the port and gave us precise instruction on where and how to meet Martin our guide

5.00The 3.5 hour tour was excellent. Our guide, Juan Nikolai, provided us with the history of the country and the city in an easy to understand manner. The tour had 22 people in a small bus — that provided comfort and ease of travel. Well worth the time and cost.
