Once you arrive, there will be a short safety talk. Then the ride will start on a trail that is mostly dirt and small rocks. The beginning of the trip will drive on a Forest Service Road to an off-road trail. This trail will bring us to a privatley owned meadow along Ash Creek that used to be part of the mining town known as Chrysotile. We will then park the off-road machines. This off-road portion of the trip will take approximately 30 minutes.

After parking the vehicles, we start the hiking portion of the trip. We will hike alongside Ash Creek Canyon. The path is windy with rocks tree roots, and logs. There will be some climbing over obstacles to make your way towards Moon Canyon. There is a small dam in the creek that we will have make our way over. The hike continues with crossing over the creek and over some giant boulders into Moon Canyon. We call it Moon Canyon because it looks like something from out of this world. The ground is all made up of a conglomerate of Rocks and Sand packed over millions of years. This is a fun place to take photos, explore and even have a snack.
